Hi all, Huge car enthusiast here, I only registered to post a picture I snapped the other day -- however I've become fascinated with the community. I caught Mr. Pernikoff passing my house (369 and GA 400), and as I usually do with vanity plates I threw it into Google and here I am. I'll just leave this here...Hope you don't mind! http://www.flickr.com/photos/drapheus/4023115828/sizes/l/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have! My spots from recently: Sunday October 25: - yellow Ferrari F430 Spider on Florida plates in Little Five Points. Monday October 26: - gray Aston-Martin DB9 Volante at Lenox Mall valet. - red Dodge Viper SRT-10 on Georgia Tech plates at Terminus. Wednesday October 28: - red Dodge Viper RT/10 on wildflower plates (surprisingly) in a neighborhood near Grady High School. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great 1st post. That is the best shot of Jim's car I have seen on F-Chat yet. Well done. That 328 is such a beautiful car at any angle. Jim, you should frame this one!!
Thanks a bunch all, I'm glad to be a part of it. I use a Sony Alpha a100 with a 28-300mm f4.0-6.3 telephoto lens.
I was looking closer at your pictures of that GT3 and it almost looks like something Techart did but i guess it's from the angles of the shots cause I realized it's a normal GT3. GT3 rims, spoiler, body. nvm
Just one to report lately: the "usual" gold Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster on Peachtree in Midtown on Thursday night. Here's another angle. This car is amazing and I never tire of seeing it!! Also, another angle of the Dodge Viper RT/10 I shot the other day, also from Thursday. That car appears to be parked just collecting dust and, sadly, one of the tires is flat. I feel bad for it! Nice shot - that must have been when I was on my way to Vogel State Park on the Italian Car Day Mountain Drive, an event at which I was the sole participant! I've been having trouble with my driver's door latch and the door looks slightly ajar in that photo, don't you think?
Yes, I was wandering if it needed an adjustment, but that doesn't take away from its pure beauty, great photo.
Stephane, I always felt that the rear-quarter angle was the best angle to shoot the 328, since it accentuates the curves along the top and side of the bodywork. No wonder that when Ferrari decided it was time to replace the 308, they kept the body and slid a new car underneath it! I still don't think that Leonardo Fioravanti gets enough credit for the body design.
Some from the past few days -R8 V10 at a gas station on Roswell Rd, the driver was decked out in Ed Hardy from head to toe -Alpina B7 at Marietta Diner on Cobb Pkwy -Prowler driving on Cobb Pkwy -GT-R at Lenox -new 997 GT3 turning from 285 onto Roswell Rd, looked amazing in red! Saw a Red Fcar (308/328/288GTO?) being trailered from a hotel on peachtree. It was followed by a 997TT, anyone have ideas what it was? I didn't get a good look at it.
In that case, it turns out it wasn't the V10 as I thought it was, and I'm glad to see that the car stayed local when it was sold by LoA.
Correct. It's the V8 one from a couple of months ago when they still had the Carrera GT that they sold to a guy back overseas. The kid is Lance's younger brother. I took these the day they sold it to him Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now that I think of it, it's probably a 308GTB, because it was missing the front lights of the GTO. Again, recollection is pretty hazy. Only seen one GTO -- it was from a Georgia Tech Auto Show a couple of years ago when Ferrari of Atlanta brought out the 288, 599, F50, and Enzo.
The second Sunday in a row for spotting and the turn out was good once again. The Red 360 was in show room condition. This car had an after market exhaust that slightly extended out the rear bodywork, it sounded powerful when started and under accelleration. This car had California tags. 1.White Lamborghini LP560-4-Lenox 2.Black Lamborghini Gallardo-Lenox 3.Red Ferrari 360 Modena-Lenox 4.White Lamborghini Gallardo roadster-Terminus 5.Silver Audui R8-St.Regis 6.Light Gray Audi R8-Toys R Us 7.Black Audi R8-West Paces Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
New Corvette Grand Sport at Fountain Oaks Kroger on Roswell. Unfortunately, I was with the parents and didn't have my camera. It was very nice- silver, black roof, no hash marks. License plate said "ZOOOM."
Man, that 360 just looks weird. Maybe it's the wheels, but it just seems like a replica. I know it probably isn't, but it's also missing it's front turn signals. Maybe it's just me... -kevin
Very interesting that you point that out. I believe that it is a true 360 but it does have a Challenge Stradale front bumper - and looks like a Euro bumper b/c it doesn't have side indicator. Anyone have opinions?
