Totally agree! I think the carbon blade looks best but black with aluminum blade looks pretty good too.

 

Single color R8's just look goofy in general. The sideblade really makes the car stand out, without it, the car looks like a big TT. I was really disappointed when they had to take it off on the convertible.

 

I agree with the side blade incident on this R8. It reminds me of the black R8 with the checkered side blade I saw at lenox awhile back

 

That picture of the XJ220 is just...I mean I can't even....wow...

 

any more pics? that looks like a 997.2 turbo. but, with Porsche headquartered in the area, it could be a 998.

 

It's the 997.2, all Porsche company cars have distributor tags

 

yeah - it is a 997.2 - PCNA cars have tags that start with HT XXXX

The designation 998 was once used as speculation by the blogs for the 997 update - which was actually the 997.2 - but 998 is now used for the 2011 car - which some call 991. It is slightly confusing but I guess we will find out when the car is launched.

It is abit confusing. I saw the newer styled tailights and headlights and thought 998? Oh well, I guess we will start seeing them soon though. 2011 models should start selling by late October or November.

 

The 2011 models are still the 997 and have been out for a few months already, we won't see the new ones till this time next year.

 

One car that will be out in the next few months is the 997.2 GTS...... Basically a 997.2 C2S but wide body of the C4S (w/o 4WD)....and a higher HP engine. Supposed to look nice.
It will have the designation of "GTS" on the rear.

Back to spotting - I saw an old Morgan today at the Ansley Mall Publix. I should have gotten a picture of it!

 

I just heard that there was a LFA at phipps right now. Anyone get any pics?

They are having an unveiling for the LFA at Nalley Lexus in Roswell Tuesday. 4-6 I believe if anyone wants to see one.

Had my F430 parked next to it when it arrived. Talked briefly to the good folks driving it. Pre production car (this particular car is not for sale). They are taking orders and $375,000 will get you in the drivers seat but she said only 171 are allocated for the US. I actually saw this car in the early afternoon rolling down 285 near Cumberland.

That must have been after the release party at Nalley Lexus. It was there from 4 to 6 last night.

 

I can't believe they're driving this thing. One accident and the whole dealer tour is cancelled...

 

Why? It's a car, drive it, towing it means nothing.

The lady that was driving (she works for Lexus) said she was "charged" with driving the car anywhere and everywhere for a few days to get as much on the road exposure as possible. She also said Lexus had several of these cars touring various cities.
