Now that the weather's getting it nice and people are thinking about taking their exotics down the shore, I thought I'd throw out a word of caution regarding where you park when hitting the casinos. A lot of casinos like to leave our f cars out front as a reflection of the type of clientele that frequent their establishments (i.e. Borgata). At first, it seemed like a safe place to leave your car and hey who doesnt like having their car oggled? However, later in the night, I noticed strangers taking pics against cars, drunk crowds and relaxed security especially in the wee hours of the night. After seeing this, I think it's best to take a mental note of the mileage and trusting it with valet plus an upfront tip...

Any other suggestions for casinos and other public places where your car might be out for a while?

Never a good idea to park out front of a Casino.

A friend of mine parked his Murci Roadster in front of the a Vegas Casino, Tipped the Valet good money to watch it only to have some A$$ CLOWN reach in to unlock it, open the door and sit in it for photos..all while the alarm was screaming! Where were the Valets? ... NOWHERE!! Good thing I was there to see it all and kick his ass out. .. Park em out of sight !

I had my CLK 55 at the Borgata 2 years ago for a weekend. Parked in the parking lot, cameras etc. When my wife and I left on Sunday, we come to notice the drivers side mirror is kicked off and the convertable top was cut. Borgata did not do a thing about it when we complained. I know it was probably a rare occurence but I would never take my f car down there.

You're gonna listen to these guys?

I've left more than my fair share of exotic cars parked right out front of casinos in Vegas. Never had a problem more than finger prints and the occasional business card or note. It's safer than parking on the street in NYC... and you've never done that, have you?

    Emil's spot on.
Though he did forget to mention the time he found a female butt print on the dusty fender of his black 355. But that's another story, eh?

Call down to the Borgata & let them know your bringing an exotic. When we did it, they arranged for two exotics to be parked & watched in the front while a bunch more were parked in a roped-off area in the garage. When I approached my car, an attendant stopped and questioned me before I got too close to the car to verify I was the owner. They were terribly nice about the whole deal.

I am going to the Borgata in May...thanks for the head's up. My car isn't expensive, but the body work's made of cheap egg-shells (fiberglass) and it's very fragile; any moron can shatter it with a soft kick or careless motion.

I park either my Lambo, F-car or the Bentley every Saturday at the Trump plaza.
    Ask for Leo or Don.
Give them a $20 and they will take good care of it.
