i was playing tennis out at city green (about 1km in france from geneva on the rte de thonon), and somebody tried to steal the 512. they did not get away but damaged the lock, ignition, alarm and scratched the car. the insurance should cover it.
currently the car is with the recovery service in douvaine, but i will be having the car delivered to the dealer in geneva either tomorrow or monday.

does anybody have experience with this dealership, or a contact person there that i could speak to? would prefer to have some kind of intro instead of going in there cold and having my car waiting for 3 weeks to get done....

    any help is appreciated.

Modenacars is a fairly new (a few months old) dealership, so few people have experience, although I understand that the MD, Mr Forgione, has been in the Ferrari biz for a while.
I contacted them for a quote for a belt service and the answer was courteous, swift, and detailed (and the quote was reasonable by official network standards).
Since the dealership is new, they seem keenly customer-oriented, I'd be surprised if you were not well taken care of.

do you think modenacars would be a better bet than the main dealer chevalley out by the airport?

Andrea, Maranello71, just bought his 550 from Modena Cars. He was very happy with them. Sorry to hear about your bad luck Ross, thankfully a very rare occurance in Switzerland.

Go to Modena Cars SA in Rue de Lausanne, 74. The owner, Mr. Forgione, is a very nice guy who will help you in the most professional manner. I recently bought my F550 from him and I must say the service was excellent, from the way the deal was carried out to the perfect way the car was prepared in all the little details to make it perfect.

Chevalley (route de Meyrin) is no more an official Ferrari dealer. They loose this status in October 2004. Since then, the (only) Geneva official dealer is Modena Cars (rue de Lausanne).

You can also consider Carugatti (Plan-les-Ouates). But this one is not a official Ferrari garage. I don't have any experience with them (apart renting a garage from him).

    I hope this will help.

    Christophe.

PS: The Modena's garage present director use to be the sales manager of the former Lausanne Beaurivage Ferrari garage. The one that close-down and got replace by Zenith in Lausanne. What a mafia !!

i ended up going to chevalley in meyrin, for the simple reason that when i called modena early on monday morning to arrange things for the car to be delivered - nobody answered the phone....
chevalley still have the full repair facilities and trained mecahnics, and said they have applied to ferrari to be recognized as a dealer authorized repair location.
anyway, the guys there made me feel comfortable and thats where it is. also thinking of having the belts done since i am waiting for a new key set anyway....wonder what their price will be on that?
