    I sent Tom Selleck a letter last week, (and a photo of him from the show)

    telling him I was looking to purchase a 308QV, and explained that this has been a dream of mine since watching him drive around in one on
    Magnum p.i. I also asked him if he knew where any of the cars ended up, and for sure how many were used total.
    Today I go to the mailbox, and there's a brown envelop inside.

    I open it open, and it's
    a picture of Tom standing in front of a 308, and it says....

    "John, Enjoy your Ferrari and People---Tom Selleck"

    REALLY COOL, no answer on the show cars though :-(
    I'll scan a pic of it tomorrow at work.

    thats really cool, i am going to get the DVD when it comes out. did you tell him about fchat in the letter? it would be cool if he was a lurker / member !

    That's WAAAY cool, man!


    I have a copy of a blues magazine with Buddy Guy on the cover, leaning on a Ferrari fender. I assume its his car, a 3X8GTS.

    He played in Houston recently and walked right by me in the crowd as he played, I patted him on the shoulder. He was gone quickly after the show cuz' it was outside and HOT.

    I was thinking of mailing it to his Chicago club, to see if he'd autograph it for me! I'd hate to lose it but getting the autograph would be worth the risk, IMO.

    That's neat Selleck did that......

    Pretty cool stuff, congrats!

    How did you get his address? I'm trying to do a similar thing with Don Johnson. I actually already got a Tom Selleck off ebay - whether it is authentic is another question, but so what -.

    yeah my wife said it's, "thanks" too, I didn't look at it that close but now that I have, i can see it.

    Congrats...that's pretty cool!

    BTW, when I first read the message on the photo, I thought it said something along the lines of "Enjoy your Ferrari -- ALOHA" (???)

    My brain says my eyes see "enjoy your Ferrari, I hope!"

    Maybe they had reliability problems during the show, or Tom bought one that didn't do it for him...

    I'm certain it says "thanks".
    Look at the "T" in "Tom", it's almost identical to the "t" in "thanks"

    Well, I must admit that the first letter looks like the "T" in Tom, but I just cant see how the remaining scribble spells "hanks". I can only see 4 letters.

    Well . . . I guess it could be an attempt at spelling "Thanks!" Regardless, It's a cool keepsake - wish I had one myself!

    I also see "I hope", which makes sense as the letter to Tom said you are looking to buy a 308. He may have been saying, enjoy your Ferrari, he hopes (your being able to find/buy one).
