this is gonna be a stupid post-

Attending my first Grand Prix in a few weekends in Bahrain. Really excited.

Not a clue in the world as to what to bring or what to wear. An ex-girlfriend went to the Monaco GP last year, she was pretty dressed up. Is Bahrain going to be the same? Any tips as to what to bring? Will have a camera and lots of cash ;-)

But in all seriousness, thank you in advance for the tips. Unlike the US, I don't think wearing a Kimi jersey is exactly appropriate for a GP!

There was a post recently about how they're going to have a Grand Prix Visa for visitors to get through the airport quicker. I'd check into that.

I went last year but I could not find any of my photos that had a good crowd/clothes shot for you. Basically, remember two things: it is gonna be warm, and everyone is quite wealthy. IIRC most (non-local) guys were in slacks and golf-type shirt, some with sportcoats - esp if you go into any of the suites. The women seemed to be generally in designer casual dresses or slacks/blouse combinations.

Actually, if you have not been to the Gulf states before.... there is a third thing to remember: Females should dress conservatively out of respect for their customs. Neither sex should wear shorts.
