Tony, remember our conversation while sitting in the grandstand at Donnington - you asked me to take a photo of the F1 Clienti car with my zoom lens. I've only just got around to looking at the pics I took. Here's the full picture, and look who turned up in it ! I was quite some distance away and had no idea he was there...

It's actually a telephoto (wide is up close, lots of scenery touch). But being a Geordie we'll let you off.

And it just goes to show - it ain't your kit, but the gift of incognito (!) that wins the photo wars. If only the daft bugger hadn't been photographing his feet!

What could I do - I was sitting at the top of the grandstand at other side of the circuit; we could only just see over the fence into the pits from there. I only took it coz Tony wanted to know if we could see who was in the car, after which we concluded we couldn't...

I always take a lot more pictures than I post as there's always an element of wastage. That particular one definitely wouldn't have made the cut...

I've got some decent shots of the car (I'll post once my subs have been paid !!)- we couldn't of got any closer, didn't recognise the driver - he was German though.
