Try the ESPNZone sportsbar downtown. I think the Turkish GP airs at about 5:30 am, so dunno whether that place is actually open. Good luck!

Well, good luck finding a place to watch the F1 races. A couple of us have been trying to organize F1 Race watching parties at Restaraunts or Bars here for years! But, there just doesn't seem to be any interest. And that really surprises me.

I'd let you come over to my house and watch. But I'm a big fat hairy middle aged man, who lives way out in the Western 'Bubs', and likes to sit around in his underwear and watch the races. DEFINITELY something that your young eyes should NEVER, EVER be exposed to!

I'm sure that you'll hook up with a nice young lady or some buds' to watch the races with close by where you live now.

 

Hey Scott, if nothing else you can watch it at home via computer. I have a Slingbox connected to my cable television that streams live TV over an internet connection. If you download the player from http://www.slingmedia.com I'll let you use it during the race.

 

PLAYERS bar and grill, near the corner of Grand and Ogden has shown F1 Races in the past.

They might be the Delayed showing at night though (if available).

Give them a call.. Players Bar and Grill, on Ogden.

 

This is a good place, usually they show it at about 10 or 11 am on Sunday and people show up and have brunch. The food is good and you'll probably like the waitresses. Actually I was thinking of the Players Club on 2500 N. Ashland - maybe it's by the same people though?

 

Players Club is cool....Don't buy any of their drinks named after drivers though....They are bad. Place is packed with hot polish women and F1 memorabilia.
Not sure what their age policy is....

 

Pre-baby I would have told you to come over no problem. But these days things just aren't quite so simple!

 

LOL! Oh yeah.....I remember those days!!! (Fondly, I do add.... ) It now takes forever to go somewhere. You have to pack up the Diaper bag with all of the stuff. Put Baby in the Car seat. You just can't run out the door and go anymore. Wait until Winter comes....add in the Snow suit and Hat. Warming up the Car. It now takes 20 minutes to do something that used to take 2. Maybe look into a remote starter that will start the car while it is still locked.

But, I'll tell you....They grow so fast, man. My Daughter is now a sophomore in H.S., and my son just turned 9 and is 4th grade. It seems like...."weren't you guys just babies a week or two ago...?".... Enjoy the baby while he's a baby!...

it is true that Players Bar and Grill always plays F1 races. however, there are 2 locations. Players 1 (a racing bar) located at 2500 N Ashland Tivo's the race and always replays it at 10:00 am CST. Players 2 at Ogden & Racine is a sports bar and may play it in the evening. so, we will see you at P1 on Sunday!

 

Have you guys decided on a place to meet for the race this week?

If so shoot me a PM and I will meet you guys out.
Not sure if you guys want to watch it Live or not? I will be up at 6:30 to watch it live regardless...

ROTFLMAO!!! Yeah, I agree! I Forgot that aspect....Now, add ANOTHER 20 minutes to that!...

 

When you guys get done watching the race, you can go to the Monroe St. get-together. A good day!
