Looking for anyone who knows a DFW area attorney with experience handling collector car transactions gone wrong. I have a friend who believes he was defrauded related to the purchase and beginning of restoration on a classic car. I have been an in-house attorney for so long that I no longer have many outside contacts that would handle this type (or size) of matter. Feel free to PM if you have any referrals.

    Thanks.

This wouldn’t be John would it? Was talking to him yesterday about it. Doesn’t sound like a good situation.

I would contact John Draneas. He writes for Sports Car Market Magazine. His monthly article is about legal issues with collector cars.

You can ask him for a referral in your area. Or he may be able to assist.

Since he is not far from there and his business is collector car restorations you might call Bob Smith Coachworks and ask if he has worked with anyone he would recommend. I know from having been hired for same one of the early steps is to retain someone in the business to advise. Bob may have been in that role.
