Auberge in Vancouver?

We decided on the spur of the moment to drive up to Vancouver for this coming Monday-Thursday, since we've never been there before. We don't want or need a big hotel or ultra-fancy Four Seasons/Peninsula type place, but we don't want a B&B either. Consequently, we think a small, locally-owned hotel would be optimal. Any suggestions?
