I ended up going on Sunday evening. Got there at 6:30, stayed until 9:30.

Did anyone look at the Red '85 308 that was near the staging area? It was right behind a white, extra short bracket car with wheelie bars. That car was TROUBLE!!! I pointed out to the seller that the rear bank timing belt was nearly cut in half. He essentially ignored me and kept on trying to convince me that $30K was a great price for the car AS IS, even though the last service date was unknown......It is certainly Caveat Emptor there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

He was likely refering to the Murray, Ky auction they are having on the 15th of Sept. Info probably on the Kurse site. From the catalog, at least 1/2 of them are parts cars not moved and outside for years, but there is some nice no mile cars there too.

I didn't look at it real closely but it was black and looked to be in relatively nice shape. It was out in the corral next to a silver 2000 360 Modena.

Yep! I think I saw the same car and was thinking how sad it looked, and how much money will probably need to be pumped into it to make it roadworthy again.

Black on black...low mileage...was there parked next to the owners other car, a silver 360 Modena. The owner is from Fort Wayne, Indiana....so he did not have to drive them far to get there. ;)

I know another one available and was just comping his price. Thanks anyway.

I'll also take this opportunity to say how much I like your 250 GTE. Revving a front engine V12 with a wood wheel gliding thru your finger tips is a most pleasant way to spend a day!

    Hi Bill,

Man you are so right about that V-12.... Have we met?

I met a very nice guy and his wife at the 2006 Ferrari gathering and the 2006 Indianapolis Concours who had a beautiful red 330 2+2. Looked for him again this year, but did not see him.

w.Hudkins are you up for a long drive to our cruise in Indy on the 15th? I have yet to see any 250 model in person ... in fact the only vintage Ferrari I've seen is Mike G's dark blue 1967 275 GTB/4 - stunning car!

We just said hello on the circle. Ours was a silver 67 330 2+2, gone for a few years now, safely in the hands of enthusiast/preservationist Michael Bayer.

Go to link and click on gallery, then Michael's 330.

    Hi Webby,

My Ferrari buddy Jim sent me an email just today about your event. Sounds like a lot of fun, I would love to drive the Ferrari I will have see whats going on that weekend and of course see how the weather looks. Looks like you have some great cars attending.

Bill, I have become friends with Tom Yang and post often on his web site. I have never met Michael, however, have been involved in several of the same threads on Tom's site. Very nice guy and he has some beautiful cars!!!!

Let me know when you want to go for a ride in my 250..... I would love to share it with you.

    Thank you,
If you come to the drive on the 15th, we'll give rides during one of the breaks. I'll be in my white 59 Corvette with Hoosier TD's.

I asked Jim to remind you so my old car would have some company!

Back to the subject of Auburn:
There was a 1987 Mondial Coupe wth 16K miles or so listed for Saturday. It did not sell according to Kruse. A local Doctor was the seller. Last major 2003, but few miles since. 2 sets of wheels. Did anyone look that car over, or know the guy?

I cannot remember the pricing off hand, but it was pretty resaonable for the market.

I am trying my best to be ready for the drive. Last week was a 'kick me while I am down' week, with my clutch master cylinder giving up the fight, and my other O2 sensor failing to give me a constant 'check engine' light. :(

What I would really like to do is get a ride in one of the F355s sometime. Ultimately I am shooting for grabbing one within the next year or two, and have driven one that felt really slow. I would like to at least ride in another one to see if I drove a 'bad apple' or if they all are like that. I am hoping I drove a bad apple.

Did it have the Indiana plates 'UFO ITAL'? If so, the owner also has, or had, a red Diablo VT with the plates 'ITAL UFO'. :D

I was talking about a red one.
The yellow was an 82 coupe, so 17K is about right.

The "deal" might have been an 88 Mondi Convertible, sold for 27K, although I don't know the miles or condition.

The 87 Cpe was a no sale, that's the one we're trying to find.

Was it the one with the aftermarket wheels? If so, I know who owns it. I did look the car over and she looks pretty good at a quick glance. If someone were interested in a 3.2 Coupe, it would be worth a PPI, IMO
I can get his contact info if someone were serious.
