    1955 410S, 1 of 4, went 7.5 million.

    Wow. Those prices are just crazy. $240K for a Testarossa that is essentially forevermore undriveable, only good for stationary garage art?!? Put miles on it and suddenly it is worth $200K less than you paid for it....no thanks.

    Dino prices have gone nuts too.

    Oh, and for $145K I'd buy a nice 328 for $45, a decent 355 for $65, and have enough left over for a complete engine overhaul when the 355 blows up.

    I doubt anyone would drive them more than a mile or two every few months. They're investment cars.

    But there's a difference between a serious classic and an "odometer classic". The latter never really becomes part of your life, more part of your asset portfolio.
