I met this guy the other night and he had a Royal Oak AP watch. Looked Hot ass hell with the skeleton face. Anyway he told me the watch is about a Murcie on his wrist:D I thought this guy was BS with me but I looked it up and its about $300K!!!!!!!!

Does anyone here collect these watches, he told me that the watches increase value each year. Also he said they made one for JayZ that is a 1 of 1 and is worth $750K!!!!!!!!!!

i think watches are a waste of money, i would just get mine from a guy in Manhattan for 10 bucks, looks good but and the time works for about a month or 2. Much less expensive.

My watches and sunglasses are always taking a beating. Lost, scratched, crunched. 200 for a watch and 60 bucks for the sunglasses now.

I personally am not such a big fan of AP. I don't really like the styling, and still aren't quite sure what all the hype is about. If I was going to spend a few hundred thousand dollars on a watch, I'd buy a Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre or A. Lange & Sohn.

I think that is the only skeletion watch that I haven't liked. The stlying is just so blocky.

One of my clients has one. First day he had it, the second hand fell off!!! 300k and the thing didn't even hold up to the first winding. Anyways, got the owner of AP on the phone and it was taken care of immediately. The thing is pretty cool though, looks great just really big. He collects watches and has several of these things, they are beautiful. I agree though, I would rather have a Vacheron or a Patek as they are a little more conservative. Although, I have seen a Richard Mille that looks pretty hot.

for people who think buying expensive watches is outright crazy and useless....well....they dont know ****.

buying the right expensive timepiece is like buying a stock. if u buy the right ones.....they go up in value and never go down. think of it as more like an investment that u can enjoy (by wearing it) rather than how much it costs.

High end limited production watches hold or increase in value. they can also be resold for profits unlike other items like expensive furniture or expensive clothes.

Whether or not you consaider them an investment, as many do, I think of them as art. The movements, the complications - the history and workmanship that goes into them is fascinating.

Personally, from an aesthetics point of view, I like the Royal Oak Offshore chronos in steel with a blue dial. Nice watches indeed.

It's been quite a while since a watch has touched my wrist... If i could spend 6 figures on a watch, i think i'd just go for a Movado and spend the rest on a brake job ('cause if i had the money to drop 6 figures on a watch, i'd obviously have an NNO, too :D)...

i like Movado's EXTREMELY thin face and i like the fact that it's not a BUSY watch... There's not a whole lot going on; it's very sleek, very subtle; i think they're very nice time pieces... Rolexes and watches like the one pictured above are big and have thick faces and that kind of stuff doesn't appeal to me... i like the idea of wearing a watch i just about can't feel...
