Lehmann, audi are to launch an "audi quattro coupe" with a 2.5l I-5cyl.Turbo producing a massive 380bhp. which is frickin' awesome for those who'd love to own a f-car/lambo but budgets stretch out to a m3 or cayman,max. which gets me wondering;is that the real purpose of audi showing it's "shooting brake"(pix) concept late last year?suddenly i find myself lusting after this thing more than the r8! i've seen the new tt.it looks QUITE different.i just think that this concept, although technically a TT with a longer roof;could be the new audi quattro!
The Shooting Brake was intended to showcase the future styling of the 2007 TT, nothing more. March 2007, Audi is showing the new 'A5 Coupe'.. built off the A4 Chassis, but with completely different styling. The A5, TT, and R8 are the only Coupes Audi has coming out in the near future. The 4th Rumored coupe is the future 'A7 Coupe', based on the Nuvolari Concept, and built off the A6 Chassis. The A7 will be marketed to compete with the BMW 6 series.
It grows on you. I didn't like the fron of my new A6, but now I do. I am surprised by the number of strangers that comment positively on the appearance of the car. I am curious what the S6 and R8 will finally look like when they are introduced later this year.
They make approximately the same peak power. I'm sure the delivery of that power is very different. As mentioned, everything looks good but the nose.

Newest speculation states there will be no 5.2l V10 Turbo.. Instead they will develop a NA V10 motor the same way they developed the RS4 V8. This new High Rev, High Output 5.2 V10 should develop atleast 520hp (similar power increase compared to S4/RS4 V8). This new engine will first be seen in the 2008/9 RS6.
hmmm...you'd think they'd just slot in the gallardo SE/piton unit which generates 520ps anyway! i dunno...i still think they's come up with an engine generating 610ps,as opposed to to "making do" with 520ps. perhaps that's the real reason the latest murcielago(drool) has 641ps as standard. it seems the power cap on audis is 610ps while the rumored NEW lamborghini (miura?!)is said to produce either 775ps or 1001ps.
