http://www.autoblog.com/2010/05/01/breaking-audi-r8-gt-goes-on-a-diet-and-gets-more-power/ It looks and sounds better than the regular R8. Good job Audi!
Since Audi now owns Lambo, its just a matter of time before Audi's flagship sports car will be faster and lighter than its Lambo brethren all while maintaining superior ergonomics and luxury over the once Italian marque.
wow that didnt seem biased at all. so I guess P will also have to bow down to Audi also. Actually, VW owns L.
It is true that VW owns Audi and Porsche, as well as several other auto marques. But, from what I've read, Audi is the company in direct control of Lambo...at least for now...
Where can you hear it? I heard somewhere that they designed the sound, to sound like the Group B S1 model from the 80's.
I just watched the Ultimate Factories on the R8. Pretty sweet. They build the A8 and A6 in the same factory but have a seperate set of workers to build the R8. That car is probably a good part of why Gallardo sales are slumping. If I had to choose between buying a new one of those the R8 5.2FSI would be my choice.
Same here, I really don't see a lot of them on the road though. I live in an affluent area in Orange County, CA so exotic cars are the norm, but you rarely see them. Presumably just because the car hasn't been in production for an extended amount of years, so a culmination hasn't been reached including multiple models.
Excellent episode, as were the Porsche 997 and Ferrari 599 programs Very few R8s in San Diego so far, either. Haven't seen a V10 in person.
