Nope, but would be great if NASCAR took a hint from the way the 2012 Audi DTM cars will likely look like. Despite being fun to watch, great racing, current NASCAR cars all look the same.

    They should look like this:

DTM is going to rock next year; BMW is back, Audi looks to be stepping up.

and yes, the COT's look awful.

Stumbled across this brief tidbit: http://community.grand-am.com/blogs/blogpost/5725c8c5-8cdc-4582-9e51-b30c1673c394

I googled it too and came across several articles from last Oct; here is one: http://nascar.speedtv.com/article/grand-am-dtm-confirm-us-based-series/

How did I miss this or have I gotten that forgetful in my old age?!

EDIT: Found a thread from last Oct that I must have missed: DTM For U.S. and Japan?

As long as nascar makes money, they could all drive a BRICK and it would be fine..

they tried to do touring cars in the US, but IIRC it was aligned more on the British touring car model of fairly stock production cars (whereas the DTM cars are effectively silhouette cars); it failed miserably.

most of their dates were support races for CART/ChampCar races, they just didn't get the visibility they needed to grow the series.
