A while back I had the hood & aircleaner off & took my carbed 308 for a spin around the block & loved the weber/intake sound. My question is: What type of microphone & preamp or whatever do I need to take the sample the intake roar & run in thru my Kenwood stereos extra RCA inputs?
    Thanks
    Bill

Use a portable digital recorder of some sort (www.sweetwater.com), capture from several angles and distances, digitally transfer the audio into your PC/Mac. Probably will have a Firewire or USB 2.0 interface.

Once it's in the computer, manipulate the audio file as needed, (you'll need stereo waveform audio software--are you Mac or PC?--you may find some freeware on the net--search "free audio software")

Burn an audio CD, and pop it in your stereo system.

Let us know how it turns out....
