Can someone explain the Gallardo's past clutch problems, and the rumors about Audi's R8 sharing its Dual clutch technology technology with the Gallardo (or is it called Direct Shift Gearbox or DSG)

4 wheel drive and Dual Clutch...is this a good idea? How well does it work?

Is the clutch replacement job a engine-out job, or just removing the gearbox to replace a clutch in Gallardo? (How much $$$)

What miles are Gallardos getting now, on current clutchs?

Did Lambo build the clutch as a weak-point to protect the powertrain? Cheaper to replace a clutch than a transmission? Also shifts cost to customer and away from warranty claims for Lambo? (plus a good little way for dealers to make some money).

Audi can't even get the DSG to be compatible with the 4.2 in the R8; no chance for the Gallardo. Audi does not want to spend the development $$$ on such low volume cars (R8 - Gallardo).
    Look for it in <2>years if/when the R8 gets a V10.......
