Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce myself and share a couple photos of the CECA Aspen event last month. I drive a '80 308 up here in Glenwood Springs, and though I've had the car a few years, I haven't been very good about getting out to the shows and track days. This I hope to change!
The Aspen event was hosted by the Shelby club and included the Viper, Pantera, Miata, and Ferrari clubs. At the show, there were lots of cars from each marque... except Ferrari! There was my car and a nice 360 spyder brought from Texas by a guy named Joe. On the Woody Creek track the next day there was a sweet 360 Stradale out playing. Don't know whose that was. I couldn't drive that day due to a broken wheel. bummer.
I hope to get to more events in the future, so maybe I will meet you all someday soon. Cheers, Matt
PS. my humble little 308 is the last pic.

Hey thanks! Those are my new wheels. I had Gotti 3-piece modulars on the car and broke one. They are just too old and rare to go find a replacement, so I decided it was time for a change. I like the looks, but they are heavy! One rear wheel and tire is 55 pounds for the Ronal compared to 41 for the gotti. yikes!

Hey Matt, I used to live in Aspen and old Snowmass Vally and would love to drive back next fall and take part in something like this. How do you find out about the next one?

This was the 20th (ish) annual event, so I bet they will have it again next year. I say 20th(ish) because the Woody Creek track was bought by some private folks, and for a number of years, driving had been limited to members and their spec racers. Last year the club opened the track for the show participants, which repeated this year. The Colorado Exotic Car Association (CECA) hosts the show. I think they have a website... not sure. I also think Ferrari Club of America Rocky Mountain Region had it in the events calendar.
Anyway, I'll let you guys know if I hear of anything fun happening up here!
