I saw this car a fortnight ago and it sounded fabulous as it drove past.

It looks like you also spotted it in King Cross.

A proper car with the engine in the correct place with the correct number of cylinders too! Carburettors a bonus as well. V8 people wouldn't understand...

lol...you guys with your V12 snobbery. You crack me up...clearly you all have some sort of inferiority complex and feel the need to compensate!

Old or new, a V12 has no place in Australia in 2015 and beyond, or at all this millennium!!

They are heavy and unresponsive at low speed and at high speed on STRAIGHT smooth roads, their forte, they're gaol bait.

I'll be sticking with a proper sports car, thanks. Responsive and fun at ALL speeds.

^^^^^^ look who's really got an inferiority complex :)

I'm just back from a brisk drive in my 575 on some twisty suburban fringe roads, I had lots of fun thank you.

Can someone set up a poll to find out how many V12 owners in the OZ section.

already established that it's the big noting V12 owners.

Well, you would say that, of course, but I guess compared to a Mercedes wagon it'd be a good jigger. You better not drive one of those new Jag F types though. You'll end up depressed and possibly suicidal.

I've had a ride in one, thought the exhaust note quite contrived, rest of it seemed OK but not amazing. Nicest thing I can say is that it was more interesting than a current generation 911, which is the car they're competing against.

    I prefer the 911.
    They work and always have.

sounds like you already discovered that it's significantly better than a 575 then.

they look good too....not really fair to compare to a 575 considering the 10 year age difference.

I guess Aircon has never really owned a proper car, so he wouldn't know...

Would rather be driving the 575 than a 911. We've got a 997 Carrera 2 at home now and while it's very competent and capable, it just doesn't talk to me like the 575 or any older Carb V12 does. Heavy and unresponsive at low speed? I guess he just doesn't understand. Nothing as responsive as his scooter I suppose...
