Cheers mate, with Seela as my wingman I rarely get over 5 thou she’s very strict Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yeah, they make great handbrakes My handbrake ruined Mt Arrowsmith for me on the Tassie FNR some years back
a few weeks ago we discussed the Scud Ing eMT smart F1 relay upgrade. Sounded like a good idea and for only $250 and a 15 minute job I thought it was worth a try. Have just installed on the 575 and am very impressed. The F1 pump no longer runs when you open the driver's door, nor does it continue running after switching the engine off. Shifts are noticeably faster and smoother - there is no audible shifting noise at all. I think this will extend the life and improve reliability of the entire F1 system. Highly recommended for my fellow flappy paddlers Now the bad news... I used the battery isolator switch to disconnect all power before removing the old relay and fitting the smart relay. Then switched power back on, green light on the smart relay as per instructions, start engine and it's in limp mode. Arrgh. Turned everything off for 3 minutes to reset, again as per instructions, and restarted with engine now normal, but of course there's been a fault code so the engine light is on and I'll have to take the car to Cavallino for an SD2 reset. My advice for anyone fitting the Scud Ing is to have an SD2 handy i.e. get your Ferrari mechanic to do it.
How is it installed Ian? Is it just a simple remove the old F1 relay and for the new unit? I’ve heard about them, but that’s all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey Ian which version did you tick and how long from overseas Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It’s ok. I just checked their website. I see it’s just plug and play Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m curious though. How does the ECU maintain the pressure, as it has not way to sense the pressure. It only uses the TCU trigger to the old F1 relay as an input for ‘pump on’ request. I believe what you say though, and trust you really can feel the shift differences. Also the relay not running every time you open the bloody door would be nice as well. I’ve read their spiel and they say they have developed and algorithm for the pump run time. I can only assume it counts the number of ‘pump on’ requests from the TCU and then calculates a total On time for the pump. Of course, the major advantage of having it completely solid state, is the reaction time from request to activation. It may also increase the voltage to the pump. Interesting. How long did it take to receive yours mate? I’d like to have it before the GG! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also, if you do a battery disconnect you you need to leave the ignition on for about 10min before you try starting as the ecu goes through a learn mode, probably why it threw a CEL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you think it would make a difference in the 360 with a CS TCU already fitted? My pump normally runs for around 3 secs when you get in the car but I can't recall hearing it when you open the door to get out.....
About a week to arrive from Switzerland. No idea how it does it, but it works. There's a lot of positive feedback in other fchat sections if you search.

If you want to be anal about it have a read, unless you already have done ,I can’t see why this sequence would be that different from yours just 4 more cylinders have a look see what you think. https://aldousvoice.com/2013/01/16/ferrari-360-ecu-reset/ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

That means it’s holding pressure really well and doesn’t need to prime every 10 minutes Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Saw these on geebay they can be reprogrammed with your personal cars pin,I’m shure WRX mike would know if so this is very cheap for spare fobs https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F132709505987 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
for starters, never replace an F1 pump again, that's a $600 benefit, plus avoiding the inconvenience of a tow truck or limping home.
Just the basic. The "advanced" one has a wired remote display that I didn't need cluttering the cabin, plus apparently it beeps when it wants you to change the settings. The basic one seems to work fine.
