Back in September 2017, I drove it like a daily driver for a month and put just 1000 km on the old girl in that time. Was great and definitely useable as a daily driver. I might do the same now I have it out of the garage lol. That's what my Brother said this morning also. That's about all I will get for it too. Yeah, have had that sitting around for a while now. V-Power was $1.89 here today. +1 +2 +3
Good work, Pap. Those batteries are excellent, but whatever you do, don't let it go flat. If you do, you won't get it back. I tried everything including good quality chargers both at home and at work, and even though they said it charged fine it was toast. Lol. You idiot.
Use it up; I was told years ago by an indistrial chemist that Shell is not 'brewed' to 98 but is 95 with boosters added. It will turn to jelly if left too long...
I’ve heard the same. I find myself thinking about how back in a previous life when I was working as an aircraft refueller at Parafield every weekend there’d be dozens of blokes with mullets lining up to fill jerry cans and 200 litre drums with our 100 octane avgas. At the time we’d sell it to them for 80c/l which was less than normal unleaded. The whole thing was actually a bit of a rort... I could have likely filled my car up to the brim every weekend like my old boss used to do... Anyhoo, what would the old 100LL do in a Ferrari? Ian?
Avgas has lead in it, so it will fuchs your catalysts. CAMS have just banned it for historic racing, many people unhappy. In fact, CAMS today is in the grip of virtue signalling fools, no different to the public service. e.g. They've mandated HANS devices across categories but failed to realise that for any pre-80's car, the tubs are so weak that any frontal impact enough to break your neck is going to be fatal for other reasons.
I didn't have a mullet, but I was one of the blokes who rolled up with a 44 gallon drum to buy avgas to use in the BB. I won a trophy once for having the whitest exhaust on a FCA run....it was simply because of the fuel, but it was a trophy, and whether I deserved it or not, I took full credit for it......just like someone else on here.
Only suitable for limited classes - I think dirt circle racing is the only one left. And you need to run a vegetable oil. But I do love that smell!
So not only did it have a hot rodded engine, suspension, wheels and tyres it also ran on jungle juice? No wonder after spending all your Dad's money on it you were pissed off by being beaten by a Qlder whom had never been to the track before and in a stock standard QV! OLIO!
That's odd....I made no mention of Winton or Horse, but that's where your 'minds' went. Guilty conscience much?
