oh yesterday arvo saw a silver GT2 with plates [1001] on the parade. today for some reason i saw 4 3-digit heritage plates on my 2km journey between home and werk, none of them particulary memorable or on anything interesting. (4WD, 90's bimmer, boxster, something else)
I saw my first exotic on Sadelaide roads in a while, but alas it was MHH in the G-SE driving along Pulteney Street about 5pm today. Looks and sounds fantastic. That yellow certainly stands out.
Today I saw a Corsa 360 spider with Challenge Grill in Carlton, turning right at Cardigan into Elgin heading towards Melb Uni. Guy driving it looked 25 max. The odd thing I noticed is that it had a dealer plate on the back (hanging by a piece of string) - why would they have an unregistered car at this time, I thought they stopped building (and hence delivering) them at least 6 months ago.. it looked brand spanking new, too.
that's a really odd question. any car which is unregistered has to be driven on trade plates if it's being driven around (usually from dealer to repair point/rego place etc-but not exclusively) it's certainly not for new cars only
Oh, thanks. Maybe my wording was a bit off! What I meant was, I'm almost certain they stopped building/delivering 360 spiders a while ago (if someone can please confirm this), so that implies that it has been "sitting around" so to speak, for a while, before getting registered/repaired to have the trade plates on now. Well, it's not like they can have trade plates sitting on a car (that is eligible for road registration) for months on end, driving around town, could they? If so, what would the dealership be doing with it for all this time (it just seems odd, if I've got my facts straight) - or alternatively, if it was a pre owned customer car then are they too tight to pay for registration renewal (even if they don't, would it be less appealing to a potential customer to be buying a car that doesn't have rego there and then?) Some of the ins and outs of dealerships, regos etc I'm not really sure about, so if I've said something that sounds wrong then I probably am. FWIW, from what I saw of the car, it didn't look like it ever had rear license plates fitted, everything about it looked pristine..
Perhaps a car from interstate or a recent import. As far as being a new (Aus delivered) car, I wouldn't think think so, but then again, I don't know!
Ah, no big deal, but it seemed like the guy was really in a hurry, driving away from the VicRoads around the corner. Weaving through traffic, could've had a small prang... I don't think I ever want to see an F-car accident IRL.
While sitting in morning traffic on Kensington Road with "Do You See What I See" playing on the radio, a red Lamborghini Countach crawled past my window in the left lane. What a pleasant surprise. Image Unavailable, Please Login
sweet. was it this one? or did it have the number plates [SELECT]? far as i know, the first is a real 25th, the second is a replica with a chevy engine.
