yeah, that's like not doing the dirty stuff with your girl because you want her to be nice and innocent for the next guy who bags her sure it's nice being the first one to really drive a car, but sometimes you just want something that's been around the block and you know can do the hard miles.
I have 2 pics of it that I took when I saw it at MM (round the back), I'm pretty sure when I was there I had a chat to the owner... nice bloke, from what I remember (if it was the actual guy)
its true, When ever ive owned new cars, i get so paranoid about every stone chip and mark. However the Lotus was used (barely, but still used) when i got it, so it did have a stone chip, and some marks on it, so whenever i see new stone chips on it now i just shrug them off and think, well at least im enjoying the car and not a slave to keeping it concourse for someone else. in saying that however, i still try and take good care of my car and take extra care parking etc, but i tell you, its the hardest car to clean the inside of, because its so hard to manouver around in (difficult for other things also).
i had a close look at some of the Lotus Trophy cars at the bogan500 over the weekend. those Exige sure sounded nice for a 4cyl Toyota engine. lap times were pretty good too.
The same cars that failed on all the safety tests? If they changed the "15yr rule" for imports due to ****boxes getting brought in, I hope they dont make the same mistake here.
I've heard that some big car plants have been built and a lot of Euro input has been put into the cars unless they are something out of the box I cannot see me buying one but the misssu might, she's got to get out of the Elantra before I die of embarrassment I'm thinking Punto
not but 10 minutes ago on montague st in the city, a grey 430 spider with the top down. Plate GTF 430
I was actually discussing this with someone at work at lunch, and apparently the Chinese Car Companies are expecting to be unable to meet local demand, let alone export. Apparently HSV (you know the Taxi Tuners) cannot even meet demand on the cars they are exporting to China, it just seems to be an endless demand for everything in Chine ATM
This is one hell of a spotting...pre-pare your self fellas.. on the way home from work, Edward street(i think thats the street) at 10:05PM, A Red 275 Spyder ...i dont know the exact model, im searching for pics on the net ATM, # plate 486-IIB. Is that anyone from here? did i get the model number correct? It pulled over on the opposite side of the road, Didnt quite get a good look, But i saw those headlights, and the bonnet scoop. The sound it made was f***** unreal. Gotta start carrying the camera everywhere i go, ******** it!
Great sighting, I believe only 14 (??) 275GTS's were made in RHD! Shame you didn't have a camera on you.
is that where it ended up? it sure was a sweet sounding car. it wasn't really a spider though...more, well, roofless!
Frank Moore bought it a few years ago, last time I saw it it had a set of Borrani's(spell?) on it - looked better than the alloys but still don't think the proportions ever looked quite right. Would it be worth re-bodying as a 275GTB again?
all those old cars are OHOS...best thing would be to take it to the tip with all the other ferraris of that era
saw seven F-cars today i guess thats what you get when you come to a great country like this here in ITALY they also have full doc s on how F-cars are made and stuff and not to mention the full race reports on the F1 that nearly go for 4 hours arrr italy what a place to be
