Well, I used the one Wes swears by. I'll try it again on a cleaner car instead of one splattered with mud. I checked the ingredients btw.... They're the same.
The foam basically means the detergent stays on the car longer, which helps loosen dust / dirt / contamination so you can rinse most of the dirt off before commencing washing the car with detergent and a microfibre cloth.
