    That's correct.
But Lotus have tuned it to the characteristics that they want, and of course to the position that they want in the lineup.

Same with both engines, really. I've already been told that more than 400hp is easily extracted from the V6.

Playing around with the configurator is painful, but I think I'm happy with that spec. :)

Now I know I made a good decision...

You should be happy - If I don't keep the 355 I won't be able to embarrass you on track in a "lesser" car than yours.
Actually, I think I will keep it.. :D

Haha! You're right. Half the bloody car is Aussie delivered, given all the parts I've replaced. :p

Truth is, the car has spent half its life here now. I've done more mileage in it than all the previous owners combined, and it's had two engine out services here as well as all the other upgrades.

If some loosers don't want it because it was originally UK delivered, I don't care.
It'll give me an excuse to keep it. I can say to Chloe I tried to sell it! :D

Congrats on the order mate! That spec looks really nice in the pics, I’m sure it’ll look even better in the flesh.
Is a low profile 4 post hoist an option for storage in your garage?

That's what I was thinking. I'd be nervous about selling later on.

    Thanks, Dan.

Yeah I've looked into the options of putting a car hoist in here. My garage roof is about 10cm short.
I remember Ian and others had some really helpful suggestions re possibly even digging down in the garage to extract the extra room I'd need.

Anything is possible. I may end up doing that, or I may re-hire the storage that is just around the corner which I used for 6 months for the 355 earlier this year.

I'm lucky in that I don't have to sell the 355, but I also think that now is the right time because my car is as good as I'm ever going to get it without taking it to the amazing level that Elliott does with his cars, for example.
No reason why that couldn't be done by the next owner, of course.

Sounds like you’re leaning towards selling it. As PP and Gary have eluded, now is as good a time as any.
With the luxury of time though, it’ll be nice to wait until you have both at your disposal and see which one you’re drawn towards when you want to enjoy a day out. That might make you’re decision easier…

Once the novelty wears off, he'll walk past the lotus to get to the Ferrari every single time.

Lotus stands for losers often talk up ****

That's the perfect scenario, Dan. And unless I get strong money for the 355 that's the way it'll go.

However I do have other things I'd like to do with the limited money I have, so I am prepared to let it go if the numbers add up.

You may be right. But most people would also walk past a 308 to drive an F40 (or even a F355 Challenge) so I guess you understand the realities of these kind of decisions as well as anybody.

Yes you do. You've owned and driven some of the most desirable cars on the planet.

Yet you decided to sell some of them and keep your beautiful 308. I make no comment beyond the fact that you made those decisions based on your own thoughts in relation to your cars. What other people may think has no relevance.

Obviously......what's that got to do with anything? I stand by what I said....if you keep both cars, once the novelty wears off, the lotus will be ignored.

    You may be right.
The perfect scenario is to have both. I'd love to keep the 355 as a "special occasion" car and use the Emira as an everyday sports car.

However, as a STC I'm looking at what else I could do with the limited money I have.
We'd love to be able to buy a beach holiday house (as I had before on Thistle), so let's see if that's possible.

On reflection, I guess I can't answer that question honestly.

We'd need to hear from people whom own multiple Ferrari / sports cars.

Gayry? Ian? Horse? If you have more than one nice sports car, does one (or more) get ignored?
