I'm trying to suck up so when I go over to Adelaide next he might give me a ride (of something or other...) That was just way too tacky wasn't it?
what times did scott and tom get? i don't remember. i can't imagine it'll be very fast on road tyres...rusty french was quite slow at PI in his 430CH on roadies.
Thanks scud, The story is at 5:00 pm yesterday I finally picked up the new F430 Spider. Perfect timing as it was raining and I got to drive home in peak hour traffic although I must admit I might not have taken the most direct route home Very limited opportunity to give it much of a test but the initial impressions are that the car is absolutely fantastic. I feel totally unfaithful saying this but this car is so much better than the 360 its unbelievable! The first thing that hits you is the sound. I have not changed the standard exhaust but the moment you start the car, it sounds like it means business. Operating it on the road is just like nothing else. It has a much deeper sound but somehow smoother tone to it. Next, the gearbox is much better in operation. It changes gears much smoother and taking off from the lights is much better than the 360. It just feels much much better than the 360 when it changes gears. The engine feels very responsive but as I said very limited opportunity to give it much of a poke so far. Specification as follows: F430 Spider F1 Nero Daytona paintwork Nero soft top Sabbia interior & roll bars Nero stitching Shields Yellow calipers I think it looks fantastic but hey I chose it I spoke to scud last week who gave me his contact for getting the 3M fitted. Those that went to Alice last year know exactly why I wanted it. I contacted them and they are coming around on Monday (the public holiday) to do the front, bumbers, mirrors, scoops and anything else that could possibly get hit. Monday afternoon I will take it for a spin to give it a better go and until then I will just have to wait as I really don't want to damage the paint work prior to Monday. Not much point paying so that the 3M can immortalise the existing stone chips. Thanks again for the contact scud. I have attached a photo for those interested. I know its not up to the Alice boys standard but there you go. At least you get the general idea. Roll on Monday! Cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the comments. I'm sure you could take a better photo dingo! To top it off it is overcast and drizzling rain here in Brisbane at the moment. You know the sort of weather that brings the idiots out on the road. I took a shot of the 360 being left at the dealer but it looked quite sad I don't think it ever looked the same after I took the Q360 plate off it. Funny how much difference a number plate can make sometimes. Anyway I have some glorious shots of it at Alice which I might frame someday. Cheers
nice interior colour but a b1tch i bet to keep clean . had to change the b word as fchat deleted it , crazy .
Yep. And black will be real easy to keep looking clean for the exterior but what the hell. It was actually Keith from EuroMarque who came up with the idea of the black stitching on the Sabbia. I hadn't seen it in the flesh before but it looks pretty good. Can't believe you got to see my car before delivery to me! Cheers
i was at audi looking at the lambos and new yours was ready for collection . asked keith about it , walked through service and had a look . he was going to throw me the keys for a spin but i said no thanks
Yeh, finally it has arrived (so should I ask if the wife's car is here yet? ) It's looking fantastic. I will have to make a trip up and we can take it out and take some more photos out in the wild!
Nope. Unfortunately it got delayed Guess I won't be getting sex for a while. Look forward to it. Cheers
Nice 430 there Gekko! Pitty about the weather at the moment, wish it rained more though. I just noticed "N ZO" # plate is still available on ppq.
congrats on the F430 Gekko, anyway don't know if this counts but spotted a jungle green Hummer H2 on windsor Rd yesterday
Saw a couple of Ferraris at lunch (one looks very familiar ) and then when I visited the video store, I was asked by the Bentley owner to give a ride around the block to his son. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
