saw a red testarossa, plates [TR12], near marden in the arvo. same one a mate saw a month or so back. edit: and JCB's silver 550 in burnside.
On Friday night i was heading into the City to pick up my wife from a work function, and when getting on the Freeway at Whitfords ave i pulled up next to a F430 Coupe. the guy driving looked late 50's or so, and he didnt seem to want to make eye contact with me. then heading down the freeway, i was doing about 80-90 trying to get him to catch up as he merged behind me, and i was still pulling away from him. Talk about Driving Miss Daisy.
and for the record, i wasnt interested in trying to race or anything stupid like that, i just wanted to exchange a friendly smile and perhaps ask if he was a member of FCA, and on the Freeway, i just wanted to have a listen to it.
I didnt know you saw me that way mhh ive found that its mostly falcommonwhores who want to race, or the occasional Hyundaiewoo's etc, but yes he probably didnt want someone to have a penis size contest with him, as we all know how often it happens when your cruzing in a nice car. that said, its not like iwas in some POS at the time, unless you consider a Lotus a POS, but thats a whole other discussion.
i dunno, for the little time i've spent in decent cars, it's just really... odd, the attention you get. i'm sure it gets old and you don't see anything much... i know mhh has gone past me dozenssssss of times without noticing me .... fwiw my mate was driving my X1/9 around today, and he couldn't believe how cool it was. he spends his time as a Mr Clip driving around falcons, hyundais, and a torana for fun on weekends. i was following him, and everytime i caught up he had the biggest grin on his face like he was the cheshire cat that just caught the mouse. his greatest triumph was driving past 3 fourteen year old girls and dropping to second... we were 100 yards behind and those girls just completely shat their daks... we just about pissed ourselves laughing coz as we went by they were hugging each other in a "the-world's-going-to-end-let's-have-a-lesbian-experience" kind of way.
