You should have kept it mate. Its nice. :) My fav interior is Tan, but black is nice also. I just dont like the red inserts and red carpet. But alot of people like it, so it is a matter of personal taste alright. :)

    My car obviously.

When I got it it had been soundly abused for 18mths. The paint and interior were rooted with cigarette burns in the carpet etc.

Repainted half the car, changed the carpet, put in standard sports seats and fitted the factory 1998 challenge kit. Part of that was the red exhaust shield. I thought it was going to be black til I unpacked it.

I liked the colour scheme so much that I replicated it when I ordered my new 360 Modena in 2001.

Never really intended to sell it. When I ordered the 360 I put it in Dixon's with a silly price on it, thinking oh well if it sells at that............ and much to everyones surprise, it did!

Your 360 is also beautiful SD. :) It must be just too much red in the cab for me, thats all. Everyone's different of course. Do all 355 CH come that colour inside? Can you get all black? Or all tan? :)

Ummmmm, from memory there was the standard variety of external colours and interior leather. Mine had factory fitted lightweight carpets that had been cut with a stanley knife where the roll cage mounted. YUK

My 360 had a lot of special order options. It was the only 360 in Australia that had the factory roll hoop and 4 point belts. They are not ADR approved and had to be retrofitted.
As much as the 355 made big dollars, I lost on the 360. Put me right off buying new production Ferraris.

    No idea mate?
I think they made 109 cars all up from 94-99. I could stand corrected there.
Not sure about RHD though? Maybe 30 RHD? Dunno. :)

Not sure anyone knows the answer to that one Robert. Cavallino magazine lists total production at 109 (from memory); but I suspect that is cars that left the factory as "challenge cars". You could still buy a kit and retro fit to a standard road car, which is what a lot of people did. So total production? Not sure there is a definitive answer there.

I CAN tell you that they are absolutely superb and highly under rated road/track day cars.

slightly OT....but does anyone have much to do with Jocaro Motorsports in Braeside?

They are just around the corner from dads company...and they always have a healthy supply of race cars in...

they do a lot of 944's for the 944 cup...but theres regularly GT3 cup cars in there, a road going 996 GT2, and recently, a 360 challenge car...

I was told it went from Dixon's to Adelaide; but it has never been spotted since I sold it.

I was over it by the time I sold it. It was a "better" car than the 355 Challenge; but not a car that I was really passionate about. So I suppose it was a backwards step in a way.

I don't see the point in having a whole heap of cars because you end up not using them and they cost a mint to have sitting there. I have too many now and some sit around not getting used- hence Michelotto and motorcycles for sale.

Many years ago we had a 275 GTB/4, a Testarossa, a 308 GTB and a 328 GTS in the garage plus 2 daily drivers. It cost $17k a year (early 90's) JUST to insure and register (after tax $ too), let alone all the $$$$$ sitting there depreciating.
Most of the cars were rarely used, so we sold 3 F-cars and kept the daily drivers. Rather have one really mega car that you can use then 4 lessor ones sitting not getting used. My 0.02c

Thats true mate. Alot of cash in cars you had there. Even now with the NG-T ect... Unless you have the time to enjoy them, it would be hard to justify keeping all of them. Maybe you should start taking some time off and driving all of them. :) Or you can let ash and I do the honours of doing so.....

FWIW (absolutely nothing) I'm not a fan of the red interiors, but knowing Scott, both cars would have been absolutley immacualte and maintained to the point of insanity! :)

From what I have read about the 355ch they produced about 170 CH cars world wide. and of that only 17 were right hand drive. Scotts car, PP's car Peter Floyds , Mine ( the best ) red , black int and carbon wing, are in OZ.

109 Factory CH cars and 61 CH kits sold?
17 could be correct there to mate. Still not 100% sure though. I actually thought there are around 8-10 355CH in Aus? Something like that PP or RMV mentioned a while ago. I could be wrong but? :)

    Guilty your honour.

Strangely enough, the only car before my 360 with that combo was Scott Sherman's spider and it had only the red carpets and red stitching. After my car turned up there were quite a number spec'd the same scheme. If you look around now, you will see a lot of cars with black leather, red stitching and those special order red carpets. The sports seats are rare though, especially with the colour coded alacantra inserts.

It is all personal tast of course. There was a 360 coupe that was unsaleable (back when they were red-hot too) because it was rubino with bordeaux interior- including dash and steering wheel! Looked horrible and cost the owner a mint to spec and a mint on re-sale.
