Bl...dy jet lag, can't get to sleep, so here's another pic while I'm sorting them out. Will try and get more out tomorrow when I'm at work. This car was nice, just restored and much better than one of those normal Boxers. 360C would appreciate this, colour scheme was handpainted to match original scheme and car was very nice throughout. Owner had given it a test run a couple of days earlier at a FOC day at Silverstone. (one of the advantages of Club membership I guess )

BBLM !!! very nice, can't remember how many were made but got a video of Phil the Yank driving one around Laguna Seca

 

Yup, lovely! I remember that you could buy these things for about $175k US not too long ago (5yrs?). Recently they have been accepted into historic racing and the values went through the roof...............BIG TIME

 

I have that video too. Unbelievably sensational sound to it, though it looked like a not so fast pig to drive.

Long, long time since I have watched it so I can't recall that detail. No doubt you are correct though. The BBLM's were privately developed race cars, the factory didn't have a hell of a lot to do with them. There was a Forza magazine article on them recently I think?

When we went to Monterey in 1994 there was an OTT restored 512BB LM that was just amazing to look at. Lots of photo's of it............ somewhere!

What the photo didnt show, was how woeful the paint job was.

Aircon, probally the same one i saw last week in the rain on toorak rd, it turned into irving st, oddly enough i think it had tinted windows, or the interior was dark.
