    Is the upstairs verandah concrete? If so, you MIGHT have a bit of space to spare above that ceiling - the upstand height from outside looks way higher than the inside photo of the garage would suggest...but it could be illusion in the photo or if the deck drains to the front it might all be all taken up in fall etc.
    Normally a garage ceiling would just be whacked on the underside of whatever is over the top, but you COULD be lucky and the ceiling has been dropped below a sloping slab.

    Measure the height from garage door top up to verandah on the outside, then top of door to garage ceiling inside and that will give us a clue (but also note what happens with drains on the verandah over)

    Slab itself probably 150thk (the reo gets ‘trampled’ in as they pour) and footings 450-600 depending on the soil. Actually with the number of footings you’ve got there it is virtually a raft!
