where is your choice of daily online interaction? seems this place is ebbing, but i'm convinced those involved haven't left the internet! it's multiple choice, first four options are SUB-sections of FerrariChat, given this site is much bigger than us aussies, and yeah i expect a fairly weighted vote. feel free to submit other sites but i can't alter the poll, please understand this if i've missed a major. 23.
It is now unusual to find interesting posts on the Aussie section of Fchat. Too much negative energy and bickering, too much non-ferrari content. Moretti did a great job of controlling the vitriol and encouraging a tone of light-hearted banter. The amusement factor has faded since he gave up. Its up to some of the regular contributors here to decide if they want to participate in a wider discussion or just snarl at each other like a gaggle of junk-yard dogs. My suggestion is: if you can't think of anything positive to say, then say nothing. Try this for a while and see if we can get our mojo back.
pretty much just hang around F-chat, although i agree with the sentiments about the decline of this section and appreciate the need for change. I'm also lurking on bimmerforums as i am planning on purchasing an E30 3 series
I've tried to stay "hands-off" as much as possible for several reasons. Some said there was too much moderation. Region-specific Moderator was in a lose-lose situation. He had better things to do, but, his temporary fill spot had turned into a PITA, and he was treated with less cordiality than his voluntary time deserved. To top that off, his energy was being drained by the worst energy and time waster in the world - worry. He worried over his mates. Not over what they thought of him, but, worried that somebody would be disgruntled and try their damnedest to infect the Oz Bloodstream. Because they got banned for a while for being insolent, at best, a couple of guys don't give a rat's ass about F-Chat anymore, and consider it sport to live by the sword and make others equally disgruntled. Even though it only took me 5 minutes to get over some girl, just gotta let everybody get their angst out in their own time. Shrug it off. Don't cry over spilled milk. Water under the bridge. Let it go. Be a man. Pull the thorn out of your side. The real Home Truth is; The ol' Divide and Conquer trick has been around since wimmenfolk first learned to grunt. Incidentally, I don't fall for it for a second. When all the wailing and gnashing of teeth is said and done, it helps locals, as IanB already so well understands, that Moretti did, in fact, do a great job of controlling the vitriol and encouraging a tone of light-hearted banter. I've worked for an Aussie company (was Top Salesman worldwide), worked for an Aussie ex-pat, done trade with an Aussie company on a very large scale, had beer and puf'n'stuff with a few, and one in particular - oh, my, what a character - on and on and on - all I can say is - Aussies know better than anyone on the face of this planet (well, save for Bulgarian girls) how to live. So, instead of babbling about some stuff worthy only of a grade 5 drama queen... scud just got himself a great toy and that's what we should be all excited about in the here and now. That's living.
