Cool Speedy! It's good to hear you are doing something to help others with what you are blessed with. When I am at car shows and kids come up asking about my car, I do what I can to encourage them to stay in school and reach for goals in life. It feels good to see a smile on a kids face and encourage them. Sometimes what only takes a few seconds from us can change the lifetime of a kid. Good job with the car!
I'm so addicted to the ones at RPM's (even though they are the slow ones)but have only been on them a few times. It gets pretty friggin expensive but I would love to get my hands on a kart to toy around with on weekends! Those things are WILD!!!!!
Mine are ALL for sale, do to fund raising shortfall! How much ya' got?????? You'll save money in the long run, using the local empty parking lot!!
Darn! I lost my oil filler cap last night! Didn't put it back on, I guess. Distracted with my son. Any body seen it? FoH won't get one in 'till next week. Will a big cork work?
errrrrrr........... How much I got? not enough, I can say that right now, lol. Maybe one day in the future I can get some smaller scaled toys. Hey, bring them out to the Bright Smiles Car Show next month at RPM's and put some for sale signs on them. I'm sure you can run a few laps in the parking lot to show them off. I got word that SW may be out there with a few of his Vipers and there are supposed to be quite a few other exotics and exotic shops there. Maybe some potential buyers?
Put a new Blaupunkt CD in last night, got the antenna jumpin' up and down, grabbed some CDs, I think I'm ready! You Austin guys come down and have a cocktail at 8PM! I'll try to park close to the door!
My favorite place in Austin is Z Tejas... anyone else like it? I know not real pricey, but in my opinion some tasty stuff...
I'll have to check it out, next time! I was on the roof at Maggie Mae's close to the free beer! We went to Threadgills Armadillo at 10:00 to catch up with Jesse Dayton. Sorry we missed you if you were there looking! I was the only Art Car Ferrari, of course so our claim to world domination remains intact!! We had to jump back to Houston for Saturday, where we were backstage with Emmy Lou Harris and the Flatlanders (Thanks Eric and JD!). I mean WHAT do you say to EMMYLOU HARRIS!!! OMG!! I just took a couple of pics and smiled , she was SO awesome! OK, then it was easier to yuck it up with Joe Ely, Butch Hancock and Jimmie Dale Gilmore!! If there is a nicer guy than Jimmie Dale, I've never met him! We left as a deluge hit the place and closed the electrics down. No encore! Pics later,
Ok Speedy, Where are those pics you promised? I wanna see some of those Art Car Girls Gone Wild! PICS PICS PICS! Come on, lets see 'em!
Well, I don't know about WILD!! Austin's kinda laid back, you know!!! I just checked the West Austin News site, and they haven't put the Ball pics up yet. We did get some backstage in Houston, I'll scan 'em in! I did barely miss a bicycle APD pulling out, some nut wanted my parking spot but parked too close for me to get out! Had to take two lanes, on 6th St. at 10:00PM, and almost nailed him! We were glad to get to the Armadillo, to relax!
Hey Will! I talked with West Austin News today. They should have 2004 pics up tomorrow!!! www.austinartcar.com
This cracked me up! They finally got the pics of the event posted. Here is my car parked on 6th St. by Maggie Mae's the night of the Ball. They ID'd it as................a Lamborghini!!!!!!!!! ROTFLMAO!!! I'm gonna go back up there and straighten them out!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ohhhh.... 6th street brings back many memories... I use to travel through Austin a lot, not as much any more. But spent many nights on 6th street. Awesome time!! Was just down there a few months ago, stopped at Dan McClucski's for an AWESOME steak dinner and then stopped at Copperhead's for a few beers and then ended up at the Ivory Cat,(a paino bar that gets LOTS of women) Also have many memories down in San Antonio too, the river walk, ect.... Texas is a fun place....... I considered buying a place there, i traveled so much down there for work, we have our factory in sunny Seguin, Texas, home of the giant Almond, walnut, acorn, what ever it is??? HAH!
"Meet Me in Seguin" A famous western swing tune!!! A beautiful part of the Earth, fo' sure!!! "That's right you're not from Texas, but Texas wants you anyway" Lyle Lovett Image Unavailable, Please Login
How often do you guys go to uno's? i've seen a lot of ferraris there plus my dads soccer buddy owns the place. Can i come by next time?
