    I am looking for any good advice for hotels and how to go from the hotel to the race (by rental car, taxi, or hotel bus?)

    I stayed at the Austin Proper Hotel last year. Had a great time. Max and Sebastian Vettel stayed there. Walking distance to 6th street. Austin's nightlife.
    Rent a car, It's a 30min drive the COTA, but give yourself an hour on race day.
