    For those who do not know, I'm the bassist for The Daylight Titans. We were featured on KUT's Austin Music Minute yesterday and will be playing this weekend around town.

    Friday we'll be second out of four bands playing at Stubbs (indoors), with David Garza headlining. Details here: http://stubbsaustin.com/music.php Tickets are 12 in advance and 15 at the door. You can get tickets early here.

    Sunday we'll be playing at the Alamo drafthouse for the Veronica Mars sneek peek event. It is currently sold out, as many of the stars will be there. But if you are going, and you got your ticket within the first fifteen minutes (before they sold out), let me know and I'll buy ya a beer!

    If you cannot catch either show, we'll be playing a few different gigs in Feburary at Emos, Room 710 and more.

    Yup. Still in tear down mode. Been quite busy on the job hunt. Been borrowing the gf's car and taking care of it in the meantime.

    I just checked itunes store & sure enough The Daylight Titans are listed. The only problem is your album only lists a partial album (one of my itunes gripes) of 13 songs but in actualality, they are really all listed. For anyone that wants to buy the complete album can't unless you just download all the songs individually. Is there any way to correct this?

    Honestly, I'm unsure of it. I haven't check it out on itunes. We submitted it to cdbaby and then it was pushed to itunes. I've also found the album on last.fm, which is a great internet radio site.

    Valeria regularly has to circulate the tip jar, for Miss Leslie and her Juke Jointers........these artists can use some support!

    Of course we've been known to slide in the back door of the Continental Club. It helps to be pushing the Hollister's bass amp, or something......LOL!

    Then there was the night I carried Beebe's drum set down Main Street for a half a block! He was pretty appreciative of that...he recognizes me from the Art Car events, where the El Orbits play on a trailer, during the parade.

    I always feel for the drummers, by the time we get our stuff put away, the best chicks have been claimed!

    Since I'm taken, once I get packed up I help out the drummer. But by that time, my gf has already packed most of his stuff up.

    Susan Gibson asked me once..."You seem to be in a position of responsibilty around here, should I start my set now?"

    I laughed hysterically, and said, "Sure baby, Two Tons of Steel calls me the 'Duct Tape Guy'!"

    I just had my proximity voltage tester on my neck cord, from work! I do sling a mean extension cord, though........multiple choices of duct tape color, a true sign of a professional!

    The show was rockin.

    It was great to see David Garza that night. He even commented (in a good way) our set, backstage. The first time I saw him, was back in high school. I was down at Dave's Art Pawn Shop in Deep Ellum somewhere in the late 80's. He was there: David Garza and the Lovebeads.

    Other than that, I got to break out the fretless for a handful of songs. Now, if I could fit the six string into it, that would be great.

    The Sunday gig was better than we all thought. Even though we were there for the Veronica Mars preview show, we played six songs and got a huge response. Heck, we sold quite a bit of CDs that night and grew our fan base as well. Kristen Bell was smokin' (star of the show) and Rob Thomas was there (creator/exec producer of the show) to give a talk, show clips, etc. There was one other dude from the show, but sorry, I don't remember his name. We watched one of the shows that is due to come out in the following weeks. This will be the season opener. I must say, I didn't know anything about VM beforehand, nor have I seen a show. It is crack. Stay away from it! That's all I can say.

    We've got a few gigs coming up at Emos, 710 and the Troubadour Saloon. Let me know if you make it down. Especially you Will! (drop me your address and I'll throw you a CD)
