Austin GP...Anything Going On?

Hello fellow Fchatters,

My name is Drake, I'm from California and I'm making the trek out to Austin to see the Grand Prix. I'm very excited for the race (obviously), but I want to know if there are any Fchat/Ferrari/exotic car related events going on that weekend.

I'm hugely into automotive photography/videography and would love to get some video of some exotics while I'm there. It seems like wherever F1 races seem to travel, the exotic owners that live in the city bring their cars out to play. That being said, where are some good places to "spot" cars in the Austin area?

I'd drop by Ferrari of Austin while you're there. It's not a big dealer, but since it's F1 weekend, they may have one of Schumi's cars in the showroom. I think they had one there before, along with a Risi 430GT.

Last time I was there, they had a Dino in the back, but that was almost two years ago.

 

Not sure if the Ferrari dealer will be open so you might call ahead, they were closed on Saturday back in June during the fanfest. Cars will be all over the place, hang around south Congress & near downtown. I'm sure some of the hotels like the W, Hilton, or Driskill might have something interesting parked out front.

 

There will be F-cars EVERYWHERE that weekend.
