Yes, it is hot, but that's why you have breakfast in the morning! 9am till about 11am. Saturday, July 23rd. LaMadeline on 360 and Bee Caves. I will probably make this one, afterall, I work across the street. See you there!
I'm gonna do my best to come out in the Lambo replica. I shall make it to one of these meets before I turn 40!
thanks for the pm texas mike..ill drop him a message about it. it is close, but he works from 7-12pm on saturdays. but we do look forward to making one of these meetings some day.
Updated my gallery with photos from this morning. I blocked out most of the plates. Let me know if you need anything edited out. The last pictures, of the Diablo, were taken by Mike. He posted them up in another thread, but also sent me slightly larger versions. http://www.buymeaferrari.com/gallery/july05breakfast Soon, I'll have a better camera... again. Today's was a loaner since the last two went kaput.
I updated my gallery and added the Diablo GT pic's and the F430 Spider Pic's. Also check out the dark red color 550 Maranello that showed up. http://photobucket.com/albums/b143/TexasMike430/
Come to the breakfast sometime and meet them. They don't really like to mention names on the internet. I don't think they are FChatters.
Oh ok. I probably would've found a way to gone to the breakfast yesterday, but I was sleeping. . I was just curious if it was one of you regular f-chatter's new toys.
I TOTALLY FORGOT! I was by downtown too. That sucks for me the Diablo GT came out, I would have lost my mind Is it as loud in person as I've heard it to be? Not to mention I was figuring out how to kill some time after I had helped my sister out in the morn I always have the worst of luck it seems.
man.... I was going to go, but I didn't get in till late the night before and was unable to get home earlier. I had to sleep in. Hopefully I will make the next one.
I wonder if folks would prefer a lunch meeting or a happy hour meeting over a breakfast meeting. I usually get up around 9:30 on Saturday's and realize that I just missed another one too.
I really like the breakfast meeting since it's not that hot out yet but, personaly speeking I would like to see as large of a turnout as possible. So maybe lunch time might be a better time but, then there may not be as many parking spots at some of the places. It always seems like a great turnout to me but, there are always several Ferrari owners that don't show up. If every local FCA member showed up it would be an amazing monthly event. Just my non-Ferrari owning 2 cents.
It was very loud! In front of the car it didn't sound very loud but, when you got behind the car it was very loud. I have a video clip of him leaving but, it's too large to post or email. It's 15.7 MB and I can't email anything over 10 MB. It's a Quicktime clip and my Windows movie maker can't edit Quicktime videos.
Personally, I'm not a morning guy and would prefur an afternoon/evening meet, but I can sacrafice a morning every now and then if need be. Yes, parking would be a it more difficult at places after breakfast though... It would be cool to try something different and you guys can see if it's worth it or not. Maybe we can all meet at the 1431 hangout one saturday evening? I'm sure most of you have cruised out there at some point. Making a group apperiance out there would probably be pretty impressive. Lately the normal Oak Hill "Y" meet has been a bit slim, I think due to everyone heading out to 1431. Just my brainstorm.
I'm not a morning person either, but the mornings aren't like the afternoon heat waves. The Y in oak hill or the 1431 parking lot gatherings... just not for me. I'd get the stupid race proposals or being told "you suck because you can't show me how fast it is in the middle of the parking lot with a hundred people surrounding you" type of comments. And that doesn't work when you have r-compounds and a weak diff as it is. No idea what I'm supposed to prove either, unless I just whip it out right there on the spot. Also, lack of chrome, so I can't give anyone a woodie from popping my hood. /end rant.
The gents at the Y are nothing like that. Albeit their is lots of chrome, but no hard feelings to non-chromers.
