    Anyone familiar with www.x-plane.com?

I have to give a shout out to Austin Meyer , an extraordinary man and someone I am proud to call a friend.

One day, shortly after meeting Austin, I read a story in the paper about a man who pulled up to a bank in a 360 and deposited 35-45K in a strangers bank account because this person's needed a heart operation and could not afford to pay for it. The ailing man's story had been seen by Austin in this very paper a few weeks prior. Being a small town, I knew it had to be Austin, and it was. This is the same man who called me on a Friday of our big event with Seibert and Chinetti, Jr to tell me he could not make it because he was in the hospital with a collapsed lung and concussion after totalling his 360-he lost it in a sharp curb and hit a SUV in a Burger King parking lot. He called the lady from the hospital and said I know it was my fault, if the insurance company does not make it right, I will. Austin would never tell anyone these stories, and that as well is a testament to his character.

We're lucky to have him as a friend, Ferrari enthusiast, and creative genius!

Thanks for sharing. I've known of the simulator from many, many years ago but not the person behind it. This is a great example of people being helpful and taking responsibility vs just hearing about the complete opposite which takes up more media time. Nice to learn he's also a fellow Ferrari enthusiast.

    Cheers

Nice to see that people still exist to help others and not just walk away.

Austin is indeed a very good guy. He and I went to engineering school together and even flew together on a few occasssions. I remember when he was developed his first flight sim on a Mac (it was pretty basic).
