Wondering how others made out. Many friends were more than 6" under in their homes, and that was before midday yesterday. I've seen pictures of cars floating around, but not nearly as bad as the swamplands of Houston.

My gf and I were out shopping for furniture down the block, or else, we would have been home, and my car would have been washed away on her street. Both our homes are a-ok.

How is everyone else doing? Homes ok? Cars ok? Families ok?

    Yup

    Yup

    Yup

    Pool is full.

If the rain continues I am going to break out the LM. More ground (water) clearance and has a built in fording sensor to let me know if the water is too deep. For some reason Ford chose not to put one of those in my Lightning.

Come on over and I'll fire up the grill. We can stand on the porch and watch the pool overflow.

    It's floodin down in Texas
All the telephone lines are down

No problems here. We're just off of Mesa and 150 feet above either Shoal or Bull Creek.

I was in Houston yesterday for work. Things looked pretty bad near the galleria. Hopefully Austin wasn't as bad.

In the Lakeway area; not nearly as bad as reported or portrayed in media.

Any idea how much the lake lifted?

    I heard quite a bit!
