Australia has been confirmed as opener for the '07 season - race date March 18. Apparently not a conflict problem with the world swimming event.

Trulli signs with Toyota until 2009.

    Interesting . . .

    Very....
I know the Aussie locals were admamnt about having the event re-instated as the season opener, but had thought it actually suited the teams better having the Aust round moved. Even local press indicated it was highly likely for us to lose the opening round.

More will most likely be known this weekend about the provisional calendar for the '07 season.

According to Bernie . . . 18 races; Japan only has 1 = Fuji (Suzaka out); the traditional ones of Spa, French and British GP are a go; only one German (alternate as previously mentioned).

In his words, "yes, fortunately. Same old ****."

Time will tell when the governing body gives the okay.
