Fer sure .....engine I can live with, they can always gamble and put the hammer back down if needed, fuel no escape.

Certainly I cannot make any conclusive judgement's as yet, but I'am keen to find out..;)

    I think it will.

The rules are like the last year when we had turbos in the eighties: all about fuel consumption

It may well be that fuel consumption won't be an issue, no one will be able to run hard enough lest they blow an engine.

Ermm yes that's just it, interestingly enough the whole quandary may make it all the more interesting.

Do I save fuel/engine or do I race balls out and throw caution to the wind, < Kimi style LEAVE ME ALONE I KNOW..WHAA mumblemumble....:)

I'm sure the season will be exciting enough, no matter what.

Still sprinklers could help so truly lack lustre tracks like Bahrain and Shanghai. The places that gave Tilke a bad name. ;)

Has he ever designed a good track? Really.

A lot of the blame has to go on these modern tracks for boring, no passing races. All these fast sweeper corners are great for onboard TV shots but snck for racing.

I've always said this. Design tracks like spa and Canada and there will always be good racing. Long sweepers have a place but too many and passing becomes impossible.

Some great ones like Turkey and Austin, some good ones like Sepang and Abu Dhabi. Also some good mods like Silverstone and Hockenheim.

Unlikely for engine; They're running 3K rpm slower constantly so engines are under less stress. Powertrain is different though, but I'm unaware which parts they're allowed to replace.

If the cars are ~30% more efficient in fuel burning (something which might just be doable with the ERS now delivering much more power for much longer, lower RPM, smaller engines, turbo and less aero). Ideally I'd like another 20 or so liters of fuel...but will reserve judgement until after the race :).
