Oh, that confuses me ???, as SA have been fastish all weekend so far ... and I've always rated Sato as fast, just needs to polish his race skills. Pete
After all the shouting KR and FA on the front row; Ferrari, McLaren and BMW are the creme de la creme of the field and I'm sure Massa would have been alongside KR seeing as how KR is almost 1/2 second ahead of FA.... Let's hope for a good, safe race.......
Webber was just interviewed and asked about the soft tyre option, when to use it etc, he said its a no brainer when all teams will be using it and he said if safety car comes out that might hurt some teams.(mentioning 6 out of 10 races had safety cars). GO WEBBER!! GO KIMI!! and MASSA TO come from behind
Kenny, you and I may be laughing but I'm sure they ain't laughing at Honda, especially when the F1 invoices hit the accounting dept..... Toyota did ok, much better than I thought.
As we have seen the pace of the back cars is way up over past seasons, he might have abit of trouble, but Top 5 by end of race with a goood strategy
i'm extremely happy with the quali session. mixed results, ups and downs. i mean wat the heck is sato doing in Q3? where's Rubens? and look at Quick Nick to P3. really impressive start to the 2007 season on the whole i'm looking forward for the race tomoro. happy to see a Ferrari driver on pole, regardless who. whatever happened to Massa? he hit the kerbsq uite hard in bid to avoid someone, and the car just died on him. tranny problem? i suspect so...looks like he was stuck in gear. but however, i'm pleased to see the Kimster on pole
A reminder that practise times don't always show the real deal Honda has more egg on faces at moment tho haha.
One thing's for sure...we'll see what Massa's made out of. Buried in the back with arguably the fastest car on the grid. It will be interesting.
I'm now watching the tape delay on Speed to see how the cars look-is it me or are the Ferraris just much smoother than everyone else? Now watching Massa pulling into pits....
It sounds like (according to the Speed crew) that the car has a short shift on it that is fragile and can be impacted by changing gears while going over a curb. Since Massa broke down after going over the curb fairly hard, it's not a far reach to think that's what happened. OTOH, why have such a fragile part on the car? Doesn't seem to make sense, but that's what Matchett (I think) claims.
Kimi on Pole, all you Winter Testers, remember that the F1 Season starts now. F Massa. KIMI WDC 2007@@@@@@@@@@
no surprise for me...Fast driver, in a fast car...as i've been saying...testing is testing, racing is racing...now let the red cars be resonably reliable, and nature will take its course.... Kimi WDC 2007!!!
In the press session when they said Kimi was the first Ferrari driver since JM Fangio to get pole on his debut Kimi SMILED
