I came home in the same car I went to the track in so a win/win all round The car had a blowout yesterday driving from Hay to Narranderra at 106 in a 110 and pulled up totally predictable and with no drama, then got a flat top to Narranderra, taxi to Wagga Wagga then hire car to Sydney. Fly to Gold Coast when the car arrives, no damage , just a blowout, never had one like that before, the whole inner sidewall on the right rear was ripped !!
Why didn't you just change the tyre.............................oh that's right you don't have a jack........................... or a spare tyre/wheel.
O oh it looked to me the fastest times were set in rounds 1 and 2; slower times in later rounds? Whatever...
Just glad to hear your ok mate at that speed who knows what’s going to happen, apart from that it sounds like you had a ball .I do hope the wheel rim wasn’t damaged Regards Adrian Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You had to ask??? Actually the thing we have done for John is help him to remember things, like checking the Tyre pressures, getting the torch out, looking in the mirror before going out and deciding tracksuit pants are never acceptable etc, etc, etc. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I start with 25 psi thanks to Brettski helping me out several years back I had a new helmet (Bell full face - took Ian's advice ) and new boots, got a new torch thanks to Frank Russo's rally pack, so got a new torch to lose somewhere in the car And many thanks to Dazzling Darren for allocating me the 355/360 class due to road tyres and no wings Ended up with the Warwick trophy and 355/360 trophy plus a wonderful time at a great rally but am seriously sleep deproved and looking forward to some sleep this week
Well I’m glad you got home ok and the car is sort-of in one piece. That is weird re the blowout. We’re the tyres old or did you run over something? Or, did the 450 spins off the track weaken them?
You should do one mate This was the best one I've done The people are a lot of fun But I'm paying the price now trying to catch up on sleep
It sounds like it was a great event JM. I wish I could have been there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My laptop has over 7,000 photos on it from the photographer but I have over 10,000 jobs to do since I got back so will be a while before I put some pics up Some brilliant shots of the track day Some good pics of the nights too where "some" of the participants got a little worse for wear and fell off their chairs Some people had to be carried to bed, some just stayed at the bar Only one gripe, you Adelaide drivers can't drive for **** in the city and I got called a bear-with-a-saw-head I'm not allowed to let the bear drive any more , neither is Frank F who also let the bear drive
