I doubt I’ll be watching.....Liberty, FIA and even the teams themselves seem determined to kill the goose with their idiotic obsession with “relevance”, initially with technical regulations, then “safety” and now with cultural “wokeness.”

I’d rather watch videos of Goodwood historics.......

I think you are being to harsh on them. I'm no fan of virtue signaling either but the fact is, that we will have a GP this weekend. Despite all the nay sayers in Europe, around the globe on here on FChat.

It took guts and brains to get this deal together whereas other sports just folded F1 is standing tall and proud.

I only wish we could host a GP in North/Central/South America. Time will tell.

And for all those (that includes me) who have been bashing Liberty and put Ecclestone on a pedestal: Bernie wanted to cancel the season. I'm glad we have a new boss in town.

I don't agree. Publicity is publicity. F1 is F1, meaning everyone is always looking for an "advantage".

I like it actually. At least I’ll know where they are. Any Mclaren in orange is fine by me in F1, wonder if they’ll be able to keep the ‘best of the rest‘ mantle in the abbreviated season.

"It is possible that Red Bull will let Mercedes use DAS on Friday to see its advantage. Opinions differ greatly there, some say it's half a second, others two tenths etc.
If the advantage is big, trouble is inevitable."

AMuS also wrote that Ferrari didn't bring their upgrade to Austria because it's quite a big one and it wasn't finished in time.

"Subliminally Ferrari expresses its astonishment how Merc/RB were able to produce so many new parts in time despite the 63-day factory closure."

As I noted earlier, no way these teams did nothing during the lock-down and of course F1 and FIA imposed this with no way to control it.

For sure Newey at home in front of his drawing board was designing 24/7. Of course people will say that the Brits have a strong work ethic and are clever at circumventing the rules, but if Ferrari does so, they’re cheating.

Sorry...it was a gut reaction to F1 getting political.

No worries friend, I understand. I also know most folks have no harm intended, we're just being very strict because we've received many complaints and want to keep the house in order.

    Best to you.

I fear you will have quite a lot of work and red cards to give out this weekend, but it is necessary, they start with sly comments that become ever bolder pushing the envelope, they get away with it in P & R which is wrong but should absolutely not here: let's keep sport pure.

To put the focus back on topic even though I don't like protests I don't agree with Merc's DAS so I do hope it gets snuffed out if it is too much of an unfair advantage. I don't want something like that to steal the season.

Safety is something I think is very important, I don't have issues with genuine efforts to protect drivers from death and injury.

If you want to discuss sexuality, race issues, or environmental debates, you already know we have forum for that.

Afterall, you seem to be a gentleman that appreciates not pushing personal P&R viewpoints in certain areas.

It's evident is it not? Your point is F1 should not delve in P&R, you'll find most agree here, especially in these F1 forums.

I want Vettel to succeed, and I want him to prove me wrong.

    My dream result is a 1-2 Vet/Lec

But I think it's going to be a crazy one if its raining.

What you boys think of Ferrari and them using test spec? Sandbagging by Binotto?
