New to the forum, have been reading and searching a lot. I think this is a good question for a regional based forum because it could vary based on location and the quality of independent shops.
Here is my question, and please correct me if I'm wrong with any part of it. An 05 f430 is already outside of the 8 year and most likely any additional up to 10 year warranty, would you guys take it to an independent like bradan for servicing, I love their cleanliness and attention to detail, or go with an authorized dealer like foli for servicing and registered service records.

I'm a noob but I have heard or thought I heard of Ferrari stepping in even with older cars when they have been kept up properly from an authorized dealer and helping with major problems and standing behind stuff even outside of warranty?

As for resale value on an f430 would it matter to someone to see foli over bradan on paperwork? Is there anything that I would be affecting by taking it away from the authorized Ferrari shops?

Indie shops like Bradan are cheaper . Aside from that records are records . Bradan is well respected so it will carry same weight as FOLI.

Even if you do work yourself keep the receipts

I would second Bradan - I had a $20k bill {Autorized Dealer} (parts/labor) for my 2012 California that Bradan was able to do for much, much less. They document everything with pictures (more than what you see online, only the owner gets them).

I had my AC repaired on my 456 at an authorized dealership - they had it 2 months and I have zero evidence (besides a document) showing me what was actually done.
