Awesome... will save a parking spot close to the Gallery with orange cones. Also using my Pontiac and Buick to save a couple... just come in and I will have one moved... GT
Tonight is the big night! A few parking spots in front reserved for Ferraris, DeLoreans and Bricklins! Paintings hung and polished. Gallery spic and span! Here we go! Was in getting ready and someone that worked for the Globe and Mail Auto section was is and was SO impressed... said it was one of largest collection of quality Ferrari themed art in Canada! Right after Jay Koka and Ken Dallison... I was just flabbergasted... One of the best and most amazing comments I have EVER had! Will post pics of the event on the weekend. Weather seems to be holding out... hope to see a few of you there... thx GT
Grant looks like I'll be there with a fellow artist friend. Not sure if I'll take the car yet but I'll see you tonight. Congrats!
Great show tonight Grant, you are vary talented. My friend that came with me is also an artist and was inspired to do some auto themed stuff after seeing your work tonight. Sorry we couldn't stay longer but we had another engagement. Hope you made some money or at least made some good contacts. All the best.
Thanks for coming out Jay! REALLY appreciate it! The show opening gala went fabulously! Such a memorable night. Lots of friends and passerbys came in a viewed the setup. And got a lot of very positive comments and feedback. Most had never seen such a display of automotive themed artwork and were impressed with the quality and my versatility in mediums. As for cars, we had a Bricklin, a DeLorean, a DeTomaso Pantera and Jay's Ferrari 308GT/4. The Pantera could be heard arriving 1/4 mile away! The weather held out beautifully all night. A pleasant and welcome event as all week it was promising rain in the evening. Six owners of the Delorean club arrived and loved the 7 pieces dedicated to their beloved cars. The Star reporter Stephanie showed up and did a short interview and took some pics. A more indepth interview will occur next week for an article in Saturdays paper. She is involved with racing around Ontario and was very impressed with the work as well.. she wants high res files of some of the pieces for the article... Very cool... The Ontario DeLorean Owners Club - to which the Bricklin owner and the Pantera are honourary members - were just fabulous... arrived early to get their cars prepared... stayed the whole 3 hours to keep the cars presence.. really went the extra mile. Thank you ODOC! A testament to exotic car ownership!! Thank you Catherine and the Framing Dames for a very special event. I cant express my appreciation!! Finally - a lifelong dream come true! A one-man gallery show of my work.. something to cross off on my "Bucket List"! I will have more pics up soon but here is a teaser. GT Image Unavailable, Please Login
