Does anybody own this model? I'm talking about the 1:18 scale, if so, does any one know how to keep the scissor doors open? Is that even possible? It feels like their is a spring in there that keeps the door open only about half way. So I'll ASSume that they won't stay up the whole way, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

    Blah!

    Help!

What i do when i want to display it is take pencil top erasers and cut them down to size then stick then in the little area were the latch swings it keeps the doors up but you have to pull them out when you want to close the doors

Simple, direct and to the point. I like it, that's an awesome idea!

    Thanks!

I bent a paperclip to make a support strut-like thingy.
Mine's definitely spring-loaded too, only to the halfway open position. This model also has an actual latching mechanism to keep the door shut tight. Pretty nice detail.

Woah, good idea dude. Hey, what did you do about the sticker residue??

I got myself the Black version of the Murci as well, and the amazing visage is ruined by the residue.

That's one of the only problems with the Autoart Murcielago, the doors don't stay open without propping them up.

For the sticker residue, I used a gentle auto polish, Zymol HD Cleanse, applied with a soft cotton cloth.

It can be bought in smaller size, and with paste wax, perfect for detailing models in this kit:

I use that on all of my models, with great results each time.

The "Lamborghini" lettering on the back is pretty fragile, so much care should be taken if cleaning around that area.

Alternately, you can try to get off as much of the residue as you can by dabbing it with the sticky side of a piece of tape, then following up with diluted solution of liquid dishwashing soap, then wiping clean with a damp cloth.

Man...why have I never thought of these ideas?

I'll try the tape first and then finish it with the liquid soap solution you suggested. I may have to pick up the other detailing solution you suggested also, I love the shine on that Murcielago!!!
