Can anyone recommend an excellent auto detailer in the Irvine/OC area? I just moved to Irvine and need to have my baby (355) detailed asap! Thanks!

I second that. Jose is the best around, and is very meticulous. The showroom isn't half bad either if you go for service. 1540 Superior Ave

I got a serious detail job - friend of a friend and he came highly recommended so I trusted him with the car.

Here's what he did for $300... (took 8 hours) and here's his email address in case anyone wants the same (Arin: [email protected])

    Exterior

    Washing of the wheels first.

Washing of the car and the wheels. Lather the car and wheels up and rinse 2 times with a new bucket of soapy water each time to make sure that everything has been cleaned off. If the bucket of soapy water is still dirty after the second time around - wash the car until the soapy water bucket dumps out clean.

Dry using microfiber towels and chamois. Once the surface is dry I take my oil less air compressor and blow all the water out of the body lines, mouldings, mirror housings, and any other gaps that water hides in.

Pre-wax removal inspection, this is to insure that I get all the parts of the car that need the most attention. Walk around the car with owner asking about any stains or just something that bothers him/her about the car's condition and mark all these points with tape.

Removing of existing wax. Clay bar and clean the paint on the entire car.
Wheel wells, use agents that safely remove tar from the painted parts of the wheel well and brims of the fenders.

Boarder lines. Use tape to cover ALL items that meet the paint

Base wax - 2 coats - extra coat on the front clam/fenders, hood, and bumper.

Glaze wax - up to 4 coats at times, in certain locations.
Wheel shine - If the owner would like wheel shine - apply a single coat around the tire. Then apply one more coat making sure that the flat spot of the tire is not missed.

Lights and windows. Mild plastic polish to clean and take care of the lights and reflectors on the car.

Clear Bra. If the car has this, clean ALL the edges with tooth picks and Q-tips.

    Final rub down.

    Interior

Floor mats, remove vacuum and wash.

Dusting. The entire interior two times over - brush and toothpick.

Wipe down using a mild liquid cleaning agent

    Leather care - if appropriate

Vacuum - fine tip used to clean all the edges

    Shampoo by hand of course.

Windows and plastic, - nice coat of wax applied on plastic parts that are not textured, as well as a nice window cleaning.

I've seen over a dozen threads in the past month about luv2detail doing outstanding work. I would recommend him.
