I just bought a 2015 Cal T and have read the manual plus posts on this excellent forum regarding this topic.
The issue I have is that the logic on this does not work the way I would prefer. If the car is parked in manual then you get auto easy exit. But if you park it in auto you don't.
Is there any way to change this or am I missing something. I would like to use auto on the transmission and have easy exit work when I park. At 6'5" the steering wheel is in the way when I get out (but the car has gobs of head room and leg room). Comfy.

From my reading of the manual, plus a little experimentation, I don't know of a way around this. As you park, could you put the Cali in manual by pulling both the up and down paddles? Then turn off the engine with the key?!? Maybe someone else knows the answer.Interesting question!

I have read the "auto easy exit" and it makes no sense to me. What behavior are you looking for?

It seems like the only difference between auto and auto easy exit, it that while in auto, if I manual shift with paddles, it stays in auto. If I manually shift with paddles while in auto easy exit, it will switch to manual.

Personally when I drive, I drive in auto till the engine is warm 175, then switch t manual.

After reading this I have to say I have noticed that there are times when I shift with paddles when in auto, its manual for a short time (seconds) than auto takes over again. Then there are times when I shift with the paddles, and it goes from auto to manual and its stay manual.

What I can't learn from reading the manual, how do you put the car into auto easy exit? It tells how to take out, but I don't see how to put into auto easy exit.

If you put in neutral before turning car off (both paddles) it will give a delay when you shut off for car wash mode. I have taught myself to not put in neutral prior to turning off.

^I think the only way to get it into Auto Easy Exit upon startup odd to turn it off in Manual or Auto Easy Exit mode.

I took a pic the other day, because I never noticed that little triangle; then after reading the manual I concluded it signifies the Cali is in auto easy exit mode.

When I turned the Cali back on today to take it for a ride. Still the triangle, and thus, I'm assuming, still in AEE mode. Then when I hit the paddle the first time, it stayed in manual mode, which I think confirms your other supposition.

That's right. I recall a thread on that now that you mention it!

I think we're mixing up two different terms ... "auto easy exit" has to do with shifting gears by using a paddle when the car is in Auto mode and refers only to the transmission.

There is an "easy entry/exit" feature to help you get in and out of the car -- that moves the steering wheel column upwards when the key is in position 0 and the door is open. When you close the door and the key is in position II, it will move the wheel back down again. This is, I think, only on cars with the full electric seats option (i.e., heated seats and seat memory).
