Yes, you could be right. Not every mechanic in the shop is sent to FNA or to Italy. Because of that, it would be worth asking the question and asking for assurance.

Coming from one who has been promotng a shop (on many different threads)that he has an interest in without disclosing it.....and a moderator no less.

As for Ron he made false accusations but at least when he got called on it he may it clear that he had no such knowledge on the other hand you continue to hide the truth about your interest in the business.

Your credibilty is shot (the PM's i have gotten show that most realize that you have an involvement in this shop and that your refusal to acknowledge that fact is obvious).

I just called FNA and to verify I also called Dealer and spoke with a service manager.

Ferrari does not offer certificates on specific models it does provide specalized training on certain components for a specific model (ABS, FI, Brakes....) and offers a certificate of completion not unlike ASC does for the Auto Service Industry. A new Mechanic is sent to FNA for a 90 day training program that generally covers spedcific systems in current models being produced and dianostics.

This confirms what I posted early on in response to the post that stated that the mechanic in question was certified Ferrari Mechanic.

There is no such thing as Ferrari certified mechanic.

Remember that since 1980 Ferrari has produced 20+ different models each with vehicle specific FI, Brake, AC Etc....systems, you would need a wall the size of the great wall to hang all the course completion certs and if you had them all when would you have had time to work on the cars???

Since Vinnie has refused to tell us which Specific Ferrari System Certs he has (if any) maybe BT will after his next visit post which ones he saw on the wall.

 

First let it be known that I have no dog in this fight. It is just interesting to me why Paulie would get slammed for being not so blatantly self promoting considering the treatment that Roy receives in the Lambo Chat threads and without trying to sound negetive or confrontational it doesn't get any more self promotional as some of those threads. Perhaps its just a regional thing and we all get too much sun here. Just my perception. OH....and I have had work done by Vinnie.......he knows his s***!.....period.

 

As stated, "some of you possibly have an interest in various Ferrari shops". NO mention was made of ownership concerning any of the shops mentioned. Obviously from the above words, some of you really do have an interest in local Ferrari shops, so I stick by my original statement. So no false accusation, in order to be using their equipment you may not have ownership, but you definetely do have an interest. All BT was doing was passing on information to those in north County. Possibly some of you missed the recent threads on mediocre Ferrari service in south Florida?? I added post #2 without knowing who Auto Italia was, Fred added post #3. I had no idea who enzo60 was, and in fact found his attitude negative enough that my first thought was that I would not want this guy working on my car.

All Paulie did in post #4 was to be thankful for the kind words. And that is shameless self promotion? That is nuts!! What are they putting in the water in Sarasota?? If he started this thread on his own, I would agree with the reaction, but he didn't.

Curiously, this obssessed reaction brings about many questions as to who really is making the misleading accusations.

As for Ferrari certified mechanics, as I said before mechanics from franchised Ferrari stores are sent to FNA or Italy for training on new models. Its not like everyone in the shop figured out an Enzo without some education. They do receive a certificate to frame. Should they be called Certified Ferrari Mechanics? How about calling them Ferrari Mechanics Trained In XYZ Model Given A Certificate To Frame? Is that more accurate? Is that really worth all of this obssession just to be right over semantics?

Therapy is usually recommended in these situations of pathos.

As for Vinnie this issue has never been negative about him or even questioned his abilities but some like to spin it that way to take the heat off Paulie.

I have no knowlege if Paulie has real ownership in Auto Italia anymore than you have in Luciano's. This has never been a discussion I have had with anyone. Your really are taking over for Barton.

Talking about making statements that are just so wrong that they are almost bizzare.

The Sarasota Dinners were started 5 years ago by Luciano's Customers, Scuderia Sarasota was originally called Scuderia Sanzogni but the name was changed so that you did not feel that you had to be a customer of Luciano's to be welcome. Why would I promote Luciano's at the dinners??? 95% percent of those that attend are his customers and most were his customers prior to the dinners...that is how I get there e-mail addresses to send invites.

But then you have never been to a dinner so you must have this promotion nonsense from your "good authority". Time to get a new source.

What else is interesting is that I do not promote Luciano's on FC, I do not pop up in threads and say call Luciano's as Paulie B. has been doing constantly with auto italia.

In fact the only thread were I have mentioned Luciano's in months was last week when someone was looking for a PPI in Sarasota and I responded as I do PPI privately but turned that one down as I no the owner and I would not be independent.

Now we find out that Paulie B. has a financial interest in Auto Italia so his promotions in all the other threads are not just to be helpful but to enrich himself.

First of all my initial response was to BT post were he said the Mechanic was Ferrari and Lambo Certified which is a falsehood and misleading.....but I don't think BT was doing it intentionally. I question this statement as I thought it should be clarified. To this date we still do not know what systems on what models he has a certificate for but we do know that Ferrari does not offer general Ferrari training certification by Model.

When Paulie B. thanked BT for his kind words about Auto Italia it clicked for me that Paulie B. had a more than passing interest in this company and that all his promotions in all the other threads were not just be helpful. to confirm this I asked Paulie B. if had business interest in this company and low and behold I got the "none of your business" response which we all know is a dumb answer as it all but confirms that he does.....When Vinnie responded with same answer it was "iceing on the cake". It was now clear that Paulie B was using FChat to funnel bussiness to this shop.

You may think it is harmless but I think Paulie B's. action are underhanded and an abuse of a trust.

You have been anything but accurate and that has been proven from your statements about me and Luciano's you have relied on old Barton material and that has made you look foolish....the one above about the dinners is the best yet (promoting Luciano's at the dinners.....how moronic).

You took upon yourself to come out of know where and attack me (and with false material no less). Who are you the FCHAT protector???
